  Hi all!
  
  We are Martijn and Annelinde and together with our three children we moved from the Netherlands to the North of Spain in august 2025. We bought a house near Ribadeo and are now renovating some parts and also put our time and effort into the gardens around the house. We love to have people over and have space to camp in the garden and we also have some possibilities inside the house. When you stay with us, we would like to just share our lives with you. This can be done while working, cooking or just chatting during a cosy campfire. We are able to learn you things about gardening, family life and some pratical help inside the house as well. We hope that when you'll eventually leave our place you have learned something about Spanish culture and if you are interested about Dutch culture as well. But for us the most important is that you just have a good time, doing some nice tasks and enjoy your free time resting in our garden or enjoying the area we live in. Nature is beautiful over here. We know some spectacular place to walk and some special places to visit
  
  We are a Christian household and we have a Christian mission with the house. We are open for everybody to join us here, whatever your background might be.

  Every sunday morning we try to go out as a family. Explore some new places or just hang around at the beach and relax a little. Fun to join! Later on sundays we like to go to a small local church. Very lovely people over there and we invite all our guests to join us aswell.
  
  We are Dutch and learing about the Spanish language and culture. We are in contact with some locals so our place is becomming more and more a community where different people meet, help and get to know eachother.
  
  Meeting new people help us in many ways. Hearing stories, sharing life experiences and just having good meaningfull converstations is something we really love.

  Help

  We have 2000m2 of garden and there is always a project to be taken on. Mowing the grass, pruning bushes and trees, making firewood, harvesting vegetables, cleaning up weeds and creating space for future projects.
  
  As said, we have three children running around. As of right now they are 1, 3 and 5 years old. They love to be entertained and the oldest two like to take trips to the beach. Taking on adventures in the house or garden also is an important part of their day. We have seen with other guest that if you stay with us a little longer and want to connect with our kids, they will take you into their hearts! So if you're talented with kids and like to spend time with them so we can focus on some other work, you are more than welcome here.
  
  Our house is quite big and needs cleaning and maintenance. Besides things like cleaning and painting Martijn also likes to take on small woodwork projects. The shed in the garden is perfect for this! Also, an important part of our day is our main meal which we like to enjoy with everybody present in the house. We want to cook healthy and good meals and those need sometimes a little bit of time. So cooking is important here and something you could definitely help us with!
  
  We are learning Spanish and are always trying to speak as much Spanish with our Spanish guests as possible. But since we are only living here since one year we still need to make more progress. If you are a (native) Spanish speaker we could probably learn a lot when connecting with you. And since we are Dutch if you like to learn more about our culture or language we are of course willing to learn you as much as possible in the time you stay with us.
  
  We live in Galicia and this is a interesting part of Spain. As in more regions in Spain they speak a local language called Gallego. Not only the language is different, but there are some very typical culture differences compared to other parts of Spain. We encourage you to discover Galicia here and see for yourself what makes this part of Spain so unique.

  Accommodation

  We have three fully furnished rooms inside the house. If you stay with us you will get one room for yourself. In the summertime it could be so busy that we might need you to sleep in a beautiful tent in the garden. We than will provide some comfortable mattresses and bed linen.

  What else ...

  we have a beautiful ocean at walking distance. The famous beaches of playa des cathedrales are very closeby aswell. Mountains behind the house for the adventurous!|
  
  We have bikes you can use to explore the surroundings here a bit more. Occasionally we can bring you to a place nearby if you like to go there for some time.
