    Description

We are Gabriel and Ragnhild, from France and Norway, aged 35 and 31, and we are making our nest in this ancient wine farm in the heart of north Portugal.
The projects revolves around 3 mains axis :
One is transitioning from a heavily chemical assisted wine production to 100% organic farming with a permaculture design.
The second is about agroforestry. We are cleaning up a patch forest after it was damaged by fire, and promoting biodiversity within the tree species after a long history of pine mono culture for wood production. We dream on creating alternative habitat in the forest.
Lastly and mainly, each day here is an exercise for us, and our visitor, to embrace conscious living, grow from within and honor who we are.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Gabriel is an arborist and his eager to share is knowledge about forestry, wood cutting, and wood working with everyone. We plan to build yurts in the forest and are interested in all forms of sustainable living.

Ragnhild is born and raised on a fruit farm, she loves to be in the garden and care for all growing beings out there. We are looking at putting back into service the antique swell system of this farm so we can start on building beds and food production farming

We are also under ongoing renovation project so there will be opportunities to learn about most of the trades of building.

  • Help

    Help

We function here under the third time principle, meaning the time awake of everyday is divided into 3 equal parts.

One third is for the stuff that need to be done, chores, or collective tasks of the moment

Another third is for what we enjoy doing, it is also a time to be productive but in a more fun way.

Last third is time for ourselves, whether it is chilling, reading a book, playing music, going for a swim, meditating...

Of course no one here is counting the exact hours spend in each category :), its more a general guide line and also an invitation for everyone to be aware and balance how they spend their time while they are here.
