    Hello Everybody,

The Project has progressed a lot but there is always something to do:
in the garden: landscaping, cleaning, cutting trees, planting, weeding building a pergola...
in the house: redo a bathroom, make some shelves, build a library, do some closets, make some curtains and some doors...
Skills in wood, gardening are higly welcome, but there is nothing really complicated to do here, just a lot of projects...
But mostly outside help at this period of time!!
I cook simple and healthy food of all kind, local products, mostly bio. As people diet has become an real issue for one who have to cook for guest, I will ask you to adapt yourself to the life style here and I have no time to research for new recipies as I already have so many work here. Hope you'll understand.
As traveling is also experimenting local food, I usualy try to make one or two traditionnel french dish for my workawayers, which often include meat or fish or to take my helpers to the restaurant and south West of France is not California... Please check you will enjoy my cooking effort to share french culture with you, if it makes you miserable, please don't apply.

I have animals, 1 cat and a dog. So, once again, if you are allergic to cats, dogs, dust, pollen or hay, staying here will be a nightmare for you!

Please make sure that you fit with the life style here before to apply. Sorry to say that but you wouldn't believe the amount of people allergic to animals or polen who can't work outside or with particular diet who contact me, despite all these recommendations!!

Looking forward to meet you soon and to share with you a fun and productive experience.

    Best wishes,
    Isabelle

I moved in 2012 in the region, after spending 40 years in Paris and 2 years in Kenya. I'm an easy going person, open to other cultures. Worked in media, films production and scripts translation, interested in arts, literature and politics. I am opening now a new chapter of my life in renovating a farm of the 18th century to make it a guest house. Plenty to do here and help would be very welcome. The place is quiet, comfortable and beautiful for people who like french life style, coutryside and outdoors activities.

I speak French and English. Much to discover in this rural and historic area. The site is located in the countryside near villages with restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and local markets. Alive cultural area: concerts, gastronomy ... Possibility of hiking, swimming in a nearby lake. Of course, Winter season is more quite and not very appropriate for swimming,.. Local markets during the weekend are the main social events in this period of the year,. Around Christmas, the churches are often holding classical concerts. For those who'd like to use their free time to explore more, there is a bus agency at 5 km which organises affordable day trip around: Christmas markets, Toulouse, Cabaret show... We can also drop you to the Penne's station for a day trip to Bordeaux or Toulouse and pick you up.
