    Description

My wife and I are developing towards a self-sufficient co-living and networking on our property of 40, 000 sq feet. We experiment and develop different approaches to our vegetable production like permaculture and biodiversity on a small scale. We also raise our chickens in mobile coop and have our laying hens from Chanteclerc and other older breeds that we multiply in an incubator or with the help of our broody hens. We harvest our rainfall and plan to use solar power for irrigation of the gardens. Our small permaculture garden host some grape vines, fruits trees, berries, vegetables and herbs.
We bake different breads in our new workshop where we also grow seedlings, germinations… We make our kamboucha and plan at developing more our kimchi and sourkrout and other lacto fermentations.
At this time we take care of one of our elder parents in her limitations, needing help keeping watch over them when we are working.
We invite you to share in the various tasks related to the country life on the Domaine including seeding, clearing, weeding, harvesting, transformation, canning, pruning, caring for the animals, construction projects, maintenance of buildings and enclosures, tree planting, wild plants gathering. The home and premises cleaning, cooking is also shared by all. This year projects include using solar power for the drip irrigation of the gardens, addition of goats and sheeps, improve or rebuild the access to the river, build a composting outdoor toilet, production of some of our seeds for more self-sufficiency.
We have travelled a lot in the past and we take pleasure meeting and living with new people and share our daily routine and meals with hosts, friends and visitors. We have lived in an intentional community in the past. We have a network of small producers and friends with whom we share ressources and support.
On the side, I am committed to an organic church (Simple non-denominational Christian family) and am active in the Center-of-Quebec area in outreach, assistance of needy people and street ministry. You are welcome to join in if this is of interest.
