Description
We are a family in the middle of Sweden. We have a small farm with some sheep, a goat, hens, a dog, cats and bees. We have a garden with a lot of fruit and berries, and also grow some vegetables.
Jenny works from home as a web editor and a distributor for a health company. She is also a photographer, journalist and have a lot of other things to do. Örjan works as both music teacher in school and a church musician. Our son Algot is 11 years, fluent in english and truly a member of the digital generation.
We try to eat from our own farm and garden and the forest as much as possible. Mostly gluten free and vegan (except what's from our farm). We have solar panels, we make our own honey, halloumi, jam, kombucha, fermented vegetables and a lot more.Types of help and learning opportunities

We can show a lot of the beautiful Swedish nature. We have a lot of rivers here, and live near the forest.
Our village Näsåker is an exiting place with famous rock carvings and hosting the annual world music festival Urkult, every first weekend in August.
Örjan plays a lot of music.Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
Since we both work full time we could use some help with gardening, animal care, cooking and many other things. It depends a lot on the season.

You will live in our small guest house in the garden. We can have two people staying there. You can use the bathroom and shower in our house, as well as the kitchen.
What else ...
Näsåker is a small but active village with a lot of events, music, theater and more. We have other workawayers in our village.
Traveling to and from here can be a bit cumbersome, especially on Saturdays.
Our nearest town is Sollefteå, and our nearest train station is in Kramfors.
NORTHERN LIGHTS/AURORA BOREALIS
Many workawayers ask us about the northern lights. Where we live, they are mostly visible from October to March, but there is of course no guarantee even then.A little more information

Positive, curious, respectful, willing to do whatever was needed. From great french cooking to shoveling shit to helping our son with learning to program on the computer.
As a bonus, we had some real good philosophical discussions.
Really hope to see you again!
If I was allowed to call Jenny and Örjan's garden Eden, perhaps I would. The soil is left alone and nurtured to let grow all things fresh. The hens and roosters roam around and the sheep hang out in their seemingly infinite grass field.
Everything seems to fall in order, but don't be fooled:… read more

They are always welcome back to us!
They are very good people with nice animals and beautiful surroundings.
We got along quite well with each other and appreciate the kindness that we were treated with.

She checked our needs and asked what she could do to help out. She became a nice friend to all of us and we hope to see her again!
