Description
Hi, we are a family of 4 (both kids are away at University now) with a beautiful Lakefront property about 80 minutes north of Ottawa in the province of Quebec. We are looking for someone - a couple or a family - to stay at the lake for about 1 month. You will enjoy the nature and beauty of Ottawa valley lake country and the culture and languages of both Ottawa and Quebec. There are some light maintenance projects that involve sanding and repainting but ample time for cultural exchange and local exploration in between. There are two small cabins, electricity, and water. The timber frame garage is set up with a basic kitchen including a large fridge, stove and micro-wave. The property is extremely private. You could stay in the cabins or if you have a camper, this location would be perfect. Beautiful swimming. Only 15kms to the town of Maniwaki. It would be best if you had a vehicle. Perfect location for a dog as well. We live in Ottawa but would come up to spend time, help with maintenance, and give advice about things to do.
Mid -April to Mid-May is ideal but we can negotiation a slightly later time frame if needed.

Accommodation
Nice small four season cabin and another summer cabin - both brand new. There is cell reception at the site but you would need a data package for internet.
We will spend time with you at the lake, share some meals together and provide groceries for all other meals during your stay.

Space for parking camper vans
The workaway project I am offering is a lakefront property about 90 minutes from downtown Ottawa. People with a campervan or motorhome woudl be extremely comfortable at this lakefront property so it is welcomed.
Can possibly accept pets
large, private lakefront property. Happy place for dogs (and cats with owner supervision)
