    Description

Hello, we are an active family living in the north of Germany. Our home is on Fehmarn, an island in the baltic sea. It´s a touristic place but it has it's nice and calm corners. We have the beach around us and horses everywhere. Since last year our island is home to one of germany´s most modern equestrian facility. You can also participate in many different watersports like windsurfing, kitesurfing, swimming and wingfoiling.

On our farm we have four own horses and some horses from different owners. We rent out boxes for horses and appartments for tourists (no help with buisness is required). We are a family of five: two parents who take care of the property and three daugherts. One of them is attending university and two of them in highschool. The oldest daughter is also involved with the horses.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Our community is characterized by tourism and agriculture. Due to our closeness to Denmark, you can be there in 30 minutes by ferry.
We have many nice cafés, restaurants and some shops. Here are countless opportunities for in- and outdoor activities. In addition to riding and water sports, you can go cycling and climb the tower, play golf and minigolf. We have our small home gym and there is another one in town, 20 minutes drive. There are also museums, an aquarium, creative offers like pottery etc. The next city is one hour drive away.
We hope to learn about your country, learn from your skills and develop friendships.

  • Help

    Help

We are looking for someone to help us with care of our private horses and yard in our private area; such as feeding the horses and chickens and cleaning the paddocks.
It would be nice if you bring some knowledge of how to use basic tools (for example a hammer or a drill) so you could help us with projects such as driving hay or light diy tasks ( fixing gates, general maintenance) but it´s not necessary. We are happy to teach you if you are interested :) Otherwise we could also need help with cleaning up around the farm and the house, weeding, cleaning pathways and gardening and house help.
