You will learn the authentic way of living of our village such as the traditional music, dance and food, tea and wine. You will get a real experience outside of the touristic spots! I am a tourist guide and we can hike together to the top of Fogo volcanos and discover hidden gems! And in the evening we can enjoy some dance and live music in Casa Ramiro bar. In general, I can teach you some kriolo and share with you my agricultural knowledge and teach you what I know about the stars and constellations that you see from a pure clear sky above my house.

It would be great it you could help me plant, harvest vegetable (beans, sweet potatoes, cabbage, zucchini, corn, pepper, chili) ; fruit trees (grapes, apple, peach, avocado, goyava, pomegranate, watermelon, tomato...) and also some medicinal plants according to the season. We will hike and hitchhike into my fields in the forest so that you get to enjoy the beautiful view at the same time!
I also need some basic help in the house such as cooking, cleaning and washing the dishes a d go get some water from the tank. Any other type of help is also welcome.

There are 2 private bedrooms (with double bed) in my house. A common rural bathroom. With open toilets outside for adventurous people! Possibility of camping outside if you bring your tent (it gets very cold and windy at night from November to February).

We will share every meal that we cook together. It's also possible to have some food from the above village.

    What else ...

From São Filipe, the collectivo taxi costs around 10$ per person to get to Chã
Das Caldeiras. Private taxi will cost minimum 50$. During your time off you can visit Fogo Island (many hiking, forest, natural pools, Mosteiros, coffee plantations, wineyards and wine tasting in the cooperative, etc.). Chã Das Caldeiras is well-located to go around the island and watch the stars in the evening. You can also go out to Casa Ramiro for live music !
