    Description

We have a house in beautiful Andorra, in the heart of the Pyrenees, and we're looking for adventurous, energetic people who love mountains and the great outdoors.

Friends, families and children regularly come to stay with us, and we'd like to develop a really good collection of outdoor activities, mountain routes and adventures that they can enjoy throughout the year.

We're looking for Workawayers who can help us explore Andorra, discover great places and create ideas for adventures for both adults and children.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Staying with us is a great opportunity to experience life in Andorra and discover the unique culture of this small country in the heart of the Pyrenees.

You'll have the chance to explore the mountains, villages, local food and traditions while learning about life in Andorra and the surrounding Spanish and French regions.

Our home is often visited by friends and family, including children, so there are plenty of opportunities to meet people, share meals, exchange stories and learn from each other's cultures and experiences.

Languages are also part of the experience. Andorra's official language is Catalan, while Spanish and French are widely spoken, so it's a great environment for anyone interested in practising languages.

We're especially interested in the exchange of knowledge. We'd love Workawayers to share their mountain, skiing, outdoor, travel or cultural experiences with us, while we share our knowledge of the area and life here.

We hope it feels less like simply coming to help and more like becoming part of the house for a while exploring, learning, sharing experiences and enjoying everything the Pyrenees have to offer.

  • Help

    Help

We're looking for adventurous, fit and outdoors-loving people to help us explore Andorra and discover the best mountain experiences the country has to offer.

The main help we'd like is researching, exploring and planning activities and routes that our family, friends and guests can enjoy when they come to stay.

    This could include:

    • Exploring and documenting hiking and mountain routes
    • Finding great walks for children and families
    • Discovering more adventurous routes for fit adults
    • Researching skiing and snow activities in winter
    • Finding mountain refuges, lakes, viewpoints and picnic spots
    • Exploring cycling, mountain biking, climbing and via ferrata options
    • Discovering interesting indoor or alternative activities for bad-weather days
    • Helping us create simple itineraries for different ages, abilities and seasons

We'd especially love to meet people with mountain experience — hikers, skiers, snowboarders, climbers, mountain bikers, trail runners, outdoor instructors or people who simply spend a lot of their lives in the mountains.

You don't need to be an expert in everything. We're looking for people who are proactive, responsible and excited to get outside and explore.

A big part of the help involves actually experiencing Andorra — getting out into the mountains, testing routes and discovering places that we can recommend to future guests.

This is our **private family home in Andorra**, not a guesthouse, hostel, or commercial accommodation. We don't have paying guests — it's simply our home, where friends and family have come to stay over the years.

One of the reasons I love having people around is that I want to **get to know Andorra better and better** — its mountains, villages, culture, people, and way of life — and to be able to share that experience with my children when they're here.

I'd especially love to meet people who already have a connection with mountain life: **skiers, mountaineers, hikers, mountain guides, outdoor enthusiasts**, or simply people who are curious, practical, friendly, and enjoy living in a beautiful mountain environment.

From time to time, it's also great to have an extra pair of hands with the normal things that come with looking after a home. More than anything, though, I'm interested in meeting interesting people, exchanging experiences and knowledge, and learning from people who can help us discover more of what Andorra has to offer.

The atmosphere is very much that of a **personal home rather than a hospitality business**. If you enjoy mountains, nature, good company, sharing skills and experiences, and becoming part of a home for a while, we'd be very happy to hear from you.

Workawayers will stay with us in our comfortable house in Andorra, surrounded by the beautiful Pyrenees.

You'll have a comfortable place to sleep and access to the shared areas of the house, including the kitchen and living spaces. We want you to feel at home during your stay and enjoy the house as well as everything Andorra has to offer.

The location is ideal for people who love the outdoors, with easy access to the mountains, hiking, skiing and many of Andorra's outdoor activities.

We appreciate people who are respectful of the house, clean and tidy, and happy to help keep shared spaces organised.

It's a relaxed and welcoming home and a great base for exploring the mountains and experiencing life in Andorra.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

This opportunity will suit people who genuinely enjoy an active, outdoor lifestyle. Andorra is all about the mountains, so we'd particularly love to hear from people who are fit, adventurous and comfortable spending plenty of time outside.

Having your own driving licence is useful, as some of the best places and mountain routes are easier to reach by car.

We value people who are independent and proactive. You won't have a rigid schedule every day we'd like you to be curious, explore, research new places and come up with your own ideas for activities and adventures.

Mountain safety is important to us. We expect everyone to be sensible, understand their own abilities and respect weather and mountain conditions.

We're particularly interested in people with hiking, skiing, snowboarding, climbing, cycling, mountain guiding, outdoor education or similar experience.

Most importantly, come ready to explore, contribute, meet people and enjoy life in the Pyrenees. If you're happiest wearing hiking boots or ski boots, you'll probably feel very at home here!
