Description
We are Francisca (36 years old, event producer) and Guido (36 years old, psychologist), a dynamic and highly motivated couple always seeking innovation. Guido is the idea generator, while I provide stability. I am known for my energy and motivation, while Guido is a creative problem-solver, always one step ahead.
We are finishing the construction of our home in rural Llicaldad, at the southern exit of Castro, in the heart of Chiloé Island and are looking for a volunteer to help clean and organize the remaining construction debris, as well as to create a garden and vegetable patch in our backyard.Types of help and learning opportunities

Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn new skills in carpentry and sustainability while working with us. We are committed to making them feel part of our team, sharing experiences, knowledge, and our way of life. During their stay, they will be integrated into our daily activities, learning about the local culture, and participating in a language exchange. We would love to practice English with them and help them improve their Spanish.
Help
We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers with a passion for sustainability, gardening, and carpentry. As we near the final stages of building our home in Chiloé, we need assistance in:
Site Cleanup and Organization: Help us clear and organize the remaining construction debris to prepare our space for the next steps.
Garden and Vegetable Patch Creation: If you love working with nature, you’ll have the opportunity to design and cultivate a garden and vegetable patch in our backyard, contributing to our vision of a sustainable living environment.
We value creativity and initiative, so tell us about your skills, and let’s collaborate to find the best way for you to contribute to our project.
If you have carpentry skills, a love for plants, and an interest in landscaping and vegetable gardening will be great!Languages spoken

Volunteers will stay in a spacious and bright house located next to our workshop, surrounded by trees and vegetation, creating a peaceful and natural atmosphere. The house has a living room, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, one bathroom, and a bedroom with two single beds, providing a comfortable and cozy space to relax after a day's work.
We offer accommodation and a small allowance for food in exchange for 20-25 hours of help per week, so you can eat whatever you prefer. What else ...
In their free time, volunteers can explore the beautiful island of Chiloé, known for its unique culture, architecture, and nature. We recommend visiting the UNESCO heritage churches, handicraft markets, national parks, and beaches. They can also participate in outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, and wildlife watching.
To reach the project, volunteers can take a bus from the city of Puerto Montt to Castro, which includes the ferry to cross to the island of Chiloé. Detailed information on how to get to the location will be provided once the volunteer's participation is confirmed.A little more information
