We are an alternative traveller run project in India. It currently has 2 projects:
* A Community Space, Dharamkot village, Dharamsala
* A Holistic Living Space in Gokarna Beach near Goa.
To start with, we are looking for volunteers for our Dharamsala social space. It is a small but high energy space that is frequented by long term travellers. Here we offer
* health foods for travellers
* Workshops & events
* Community podcasts, music jams, fire & flow & more
Creating/ Cooking family meals
Help around the house
Help with Computers/ Internet
Opportunity to get an insight into alternative cultures and socio economic models, food/accommodation (depending on level of involvement). Great opportunity to connect with conscious people, opportunity to learn fermenting skills, and benefit by participating in in-house house workshops and events.
We need help with managing our space alongside our local team. This will involve help with hosting of events and activites, managing a schedule for our guest chefs and assisting them where necessary (shopping, etc). There is also the opportunity to conduct or assist in Yoga, meditation and other workshops depending on your interest/skills.
Additionally, we also need your help to set-up a small fair trade health food store that we plan to create in order to help sustain our project. There is also an opportunity to learn how to make Kombucha, ginger beers, seed butters & more. With your help, we would like to come up with a wider range of natural products that we can make and package either in our space or by involving local people from the village.
We get a lot of participation from other travellers who use our space and help is always at hand. We prefer shanti, open minded & conscious people.
Shared room with other volunteers in our house in Dharamkot or beach facing house in Gokarna.
Both our projects are located in beautiful travelling destinations popular among the new age travelling scene with lots of nature, workshops and activities. Dharamsala is a beautiful mountain town locayed in the Himalayas. It is a very popular tourist destination. It is also the home of Dalai Lama and there are many free and paid workshops, yoga, meditation classes.and retreats. There are many trekking places in the area. It is a cosmopolitan place with people from many countries.
