    Description

Hi! 👋 We’re a small but passionate family based in Guatemala City, working at the intersection of community, culture, and social impact. Together, we run three community-focused projects: an online English academy, a microbrewery, and a cultural center with a hostel.

We welcome volunteers who are interested in cultural exchange and learning through participation rather than formal work. During your stay, you can choose where you feel most comfortable contributing — whether that’s helping with conversational English classes or supporting activities at our hostel and cultural center. You’re encouraged to explore different areas and focus on what you enjoy most.

Volunteers can also help at the hostel (where you’ll be staying) meeting travelers from around the world while gaining insight into the hospitality industry and daily hostel life. At the brewery, you can join the team to learn about the craft beer process and get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of how a local brewery operates. Additionally, you can join our team as we tour the country at art festivals and international microbrewery festivals.

All projects are connected through our cultural center in the heart of Guatemala City, a lively space for art, music, workshops, and local entrepreneurship. You’ll be based here, surrounded by Guatemalan culture and community life.

Our goal is to create a collaborative environment where people from different backgrounds learn from one another, share skills, and exchange experiences. When you arrive, we’ll discuss your interests together to shape a volunteering experience that feels meaningful and enjoyable.

Whether you come to practice Spanish, share your skills, learn about brewing or hospitality, or simply immerse yourself in local culture, we’d love to welcome you into our community.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

You will be working with our family so you will have plenty of time to learn more about Guatemalan culture just from all of our friends and family visiting. But aside from that we are a family of language teachers, so we are happy to teach you Spanish and more about the language. You will also be working at our hostel and will have the chance to exchange with people from many other cultures!

  • Help

    Help

We’re looking for friendly, proactive volunteers who’d like to be part of daily life in our cultural center while contributing across our community projects — the hostel and English academy.

    How you can contribute:

    Hostel Support
Help welcome guests, assist with check-ins or basic questions, and support light housekeeping such as preparing rooms and keeping shared spaces comfortable and organized. The hostel is also where you’ll stay, giving you the chance to meet travelers and learn about everyday hostel operations.

    General maintenance
As our space regularly hosts events we are always needing people to help with set up and general cleaning around the facilities.

    What you’ll be part of:

All projects take place within our cultural center in the heart of Guatemala City — a lively space for art, music, capoeira, workshops, and local entrepreneurship. Volunteers are encouraged to explore different areas and focus on what they enjoy most, and we’re happy to discuss together how you’d like to contribute during your stay.

This experience is about learning, sharing skills, and becoming part of a collaborative international community while gaining insight into hospitality, brewing, education, and local culture.

We’d love to welcome curious, open-minded people who want to connect, contribute, and experience Guatemala from the inside.
