Description
We are a vibrant Scottish café situated in the foothills of the Cuillin mountain range, overlooking Loch Harport on the stunning Isle of Skye! We are 5 minutes away from our local village, Carbost, 10 minutes from the fairy pools and 25 minutes from the largest town on Skye, Portree.
The café uses Scottish ingredients to provide a unique take on brunch and lunch! We've recently been featured in Hidden Scotland and Scottish Field magazine as a top foodie destination in Scotland!
We are looking to expand our team this season and invite applications for a kitchen/cooking role. We would love to hear from anyone available from March - November who is passionate about great food/local produce, speciality coffee and enjoys working as part of a fun team. We ask that you have previous professional kitchen experience and feel comfortable dealing with multiple food orders at once.
We have a really friendly culture at the café - you will enjoy working here and mixing with the locals!
We have healthy working hours (generally 9am - 5pm) and the café is shut two days a week (Monday and Tuesday). This means you have evenings free as well as two full days off a week in which to explore and enjoy Skye!
PLEASE NOTE - We can only accept applicants that already have a UK working visa, please do not contact us if you do not have one. Thank you :)Types of help and learning opportunities

If you enjoy camping, exploring, hiking and generally the great outdoors, this will be an incredible opportunity to spend time in one of the most dramatic islands on the planet, whilst being paid and being part of a friendly team.

We have staff accommodation above the café. It's a flat you will share with two other members of staff. You will have your own room. The flat is well equipped with a large kitchen and lounge, as well as a TV and WiFi.
What else ...
There are a number of public buses that go past the café every day. You will be in a great position to explore the island as the café is very central. There are loads of amazing walks and hikes you can do in the area around the café.
As we overlook a sea loch (Loch Harport), there are incredible views from the café and you'll be able to see seals, eagles and many other types of coastal wildlife.A little more information
