Description
My Name is David , Im from Guadalajara Mexico, I have been living in tulum since 2003, now Im 46, just sold my business, and started putting love into this piece of beautiful property that Ive owned for the past 15 years or more....with a cenote sitting in 2 hectares of Mayan Jungle. Im in a moment of my life, that Im focusing on building a place for the Comunitty, specifically, for kids, I have a 9 year old, and Tulum, has literally nothing to do with the kids. I want to share with the kids in the Comunitty and visitors, some of my passions, Im building A butterfly garden and art installations around the cenote and jungle, and 5 dormitories, so we can host and create , conscious sustainable camps, throughout the whole year, besides winter and summer camps, I believe is very important for the kids of the Comunitty to have a recurrent camp facility where they can come and learn about so much beautiful things, bonfire, nature, birds, monkeys, turtles, firefly, flowers, art, music, stars, the list is endlesss.... while spending time with other kids and other people from other countries, we are creating a space where the Kids can come and learn about the nature, while in the nature, playing doing arts and crafts, and learning about those, as well permaculture, love and respect for the nature, etc.-
We have an opportunity of exchange with workawayers that can help with :

The volunteers will be sleeping on a Cabana with 2 queen size beds
Food and groceries will be provided for the volunteers ( doesnt include alcohol , cigarretes, or poersonal stuff such as ).
The volunteers are responsible to cook their own meals, and always mantain the kitchen and common areas as well their cabana in clean, tridy and presentable manners. we take care of the laundry of the linums.
The volunteers shiuld be independent, we can always assist you sometimes, but in order for you to move in and out of the cenote, you need to walk 800 mts to the highway where you can catch a 1 usd bus ride to tulum. there are 3 small little stores close by where you can buy snacks, ice, beer, some basic food, etc-What else ...
the cenote is located 8 km north of tulum, the best way to go from tulum, is to catch a bus or a ride while hitch hiking, even a moped works, you can get 1 for around 300 use and sell it afterwards. from the main highway where the bus drops off, there is a 10 min or 800 meter walk to the place. on a safe and jungly road.
