    Description

    Hello everyone,

My name is Yến and I live with my family in the mountains of northern Vietnam, in Tả Phìn, Sa Pa, Lào Cai. Our house is located in the middle of beautiful valleys in a quiet village. We are about 1500m above sea level, so the air is fresh and nice, and the scenery is beautiful, with rice terraces and mist between the hills.

We run a winery and a homestay. We make delicious wine from local fruits and berries, and we have a large garden where we grow flowers and vegetables. We have recently built a guesthouse with great facilities like a sauna where we can accommodate groups of guests.

    Important Note!
We do not pay for medical care in the hospital, therefore we only accept volunteers who have medical insurance and can take care of themselves in case of problems.

While living with us, you can experience the life of a Vietnamese family. We will eat traditional Vietnamese dishes together, we will have conversations, and we can have a karaoke party if you like.
You will have the opportunity to see the process of wine making and you can taste our delicious beverages.
We can share the knowledge of farming practices with each other.

The SaPa region is a famous tourist destination with beautiful scenery and hiking opportunities.
You can explore some of the traditional villages and mountain passes by motorbike, you can visit the markets of SaPa, or you can visit Mount Fansipan, the highest mountain in Indochina, either by cable car or by hiking with a local guide.

    Help

First, we need help in our garden. We have a big and beautiful garden with vegetables and beautiful flowers, and we need help to take care of it. It is important for volunteers to have a general level of fitness, as gardening can be tiring for some people.
Second, my family and I want to learn to speak English better, so we would like our volunteers to teach us conversational English.
Occasionally we may also need help around the winery, but we hire people to do the main work there.
You can also help with our foreign guests by having conversations with them as we are not fluent in English.

5 hours of work in two parts: 3 hours of work in the morning and 2 hours of work in the afternoon.
We are also flexible, if you need changes in the working hours, we can discuss it.
