    =====================
If you are interested in joining us as a volunteer this is what is needed from January 15th 2024 onwards:
    =====================

    Dear community,

Season 2023/2024 is approaching and starting November we are looking for volunteers (work exchange for food and accommodation in tents) for our new retreat and healing center project, that has just started 2 years ago.
Minimum stay for Volunteers is three weeks.

As a volunteer you will help 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. There will be 3 vegan meals a day served and in your free time you can participate in Wim Hof Breathwork and Ice Bath sessions, Yoga, Meditation, Cacao Heart Circles and Singing circles, if they are offered at the time of your stay. This year we will officially become a new Yoga Retreat Center. We are planning to run regular Silent Meditation, Yoga and other Healing Retreats together with

We are striving to build a community with an atmosphere of mutual care, respect and love.

The different areas are sorted by importance and urgency:

    1) Coffee / Cacao / Banana harvest - Project "Let's help the farmers"

There have been some emergency changes now for this season @Vision of the Heart. We live on a Coffee Banana and Cacao Farm which is in extreme difficulties after last year's Hurricane. Since we have the approach to be of service first - meaning to ask what we can give FiRST - and to ask we can GET second we decided to stop holding retreats for now to be of service to the farmers.
We are starting a project to support and modernize the farm to make sure it will not go bankrupt like the many others in the area.

This help will have two pillars:

    1) Sales and Marketing:

We are building a direct farmer to customer sales network for the farm. In this area we need people who have a love for sales and speak Spanish and English

    2) Harvest Helpers:

Since we have started the project in 2021 three of the 5 families have left the farm due to undignified wages and other hardships. The farm now has just 6 workers left to harvest the Cacao / Coffee and Bananas on 125!!! acres of cultivated land. An Impossible mission.
The farmers really need our help right now if they don't want to lose their jobs and home.
Who feels motivated to join forces and help them carry in this year's cacao and coffee harvest?
For this project, we are planning to cooperate with the amazing yoga school. We will offer a Karma Yoga Intensive Course with daily Yoga, Meditation and lectures / singing circles and 4-5 hours of selfless service.

If you are interested please reach out to Ludus directly

    2) New: Accomodation Services / Reception / Guest Service

So you love to be a host? Do you love to receive guests? Have you maybe even worked in hotels/hostels before? You will have a role with a lot of responsibility, making sure our guests have a beautiful welcome and feel we care about them.

    Minimum Stay: 2 months

    3) Handyman/maintenance
Someone that can fix things, is inventive and has a special interest for that. Experience/know-how in carpeting, plumbing etc. is a huge plus!

    4) Healing Facilitator

We are also looking for a massage therapist or any other holistic healing practitioner to care about our guests.

    5) General Assistance

Someone who knows about kitchen logistics and has recipe ideas to inspire our Mexican chef in training, Lorena. Ideally you bring some experience in vegan restaurants or have been a chef in the past. The role implies checking on water supply, emptying compost, taking care of the compost and many other tasks to help our retreat center crew and our chef Lorena.

The retreat center is being built on a 1000 acres property in the most beautiful Oaxacan Jungle just 2 hours from Mazunte. There are fruit trees, Cacao trees, clean fresh water sources, a river and the most beautiful views of the jungle mountain surroundings. It feels like garden eden.

Our Vision is to create a space for healing, community and reconnection with nature. In this first phase of our project we will offer a space for guests to deeply connect with nature and retreat isolated in the Oaxacan Jungle.
We are planning to live completely off the product of our land, this we are yet to set up.
The land is ideal for individual meditation or/and fasting retreats.

We are planning to have a community of healing practitioners on site to offer a variety of alternative healing modalities.

    As of now we offer:

Yoga and Meditation (Teacher on site)

Breathwork and Ice Baths (Facilitator on site)

    Cacao Ceremonies (Regularly available)

    Temazcales (sometimes available)

For our volunteers we are offering cacao heart circles, to tune in with each other.

If you feel the calling to live deeply immersed in nature, have a hands-on mentality and would like to contribute to this vision in at least 2 of the listed needs - this might be your place to volunteer!

The land is vegan, non-alcohol/drugs and a no loud music environment (except if there is an ecstatic dance, during the day).

We are located in the area of Pluma Hidalgo, just 2 hours from Mazunte and 1 hour from Huatulco airport (daily connections from Mexico City airport).

The street that leads to the finca, may or may not be affected, depending on the amount of rain at the time of your volunteering request.
If you plan to come with your own vehicle (non 4x4) , please inform us beforehand!

We ask volunteers to bring their own tents, if that is not possible we can supply you with a tent and equipment.

    No pets allowed!

For your application please answer the following questions:

What is your intention to offer your support to our beautiful project?
How can you contribute to this project? Do you have special skills and some skills we are looking for?
Are you comfortable with living in a tent for a month?
    What is your spiritual practice?
What is your experience living in conscious communities?

    Thanks for your interest!

    With Love

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

You can learn about the cultivation of Cacao and Cafe and learn to build with natural materials like bamboo. Also its a very beautiful farming community living on the land and there is a lot of interest (especially the kids) for learning English. There is very little English spoken in the farming community so excellent preconditions to learn to speak Spanish.
