    Welcome!

    Join us!
    Come drink cacao with us!
Come sing songs with us to the beautiful mountain :)
Let's do temazcal, go hiking, work in the garden, create community and find solitude

This is a place for healing, and if your heart desires community and connection to nature, then you follow my vision, and I want you here!

I live on the side of mount Chirripo, the tallest mountain in Costa Rica.
The climate here is much cooler than the coast. Beautiful sunny mornings for swimming, rainy evenings, cool nights.
This is a small Costa Rican village, mostly farmers. The nature is incredible! Check out cloudbride nature reserve online! It is just an hour walk from my place.

I am currently starting a guesthouse.
I want to create a community, even though sometimes the community always has different people travelling through, it is still fantastic! There are also many amazing people who live in this area.
I have had my first guests already and it was an awesome time!

This house is an opportunity to not feel like a tourist, but to imagine actually being a local in Costa Rica. It is a very simple, authentic, Costa Rican house, it is cute and cosy with amazing nature out of every window.

I want this guesthouse to offer affordable accommodation for people who want to visit nature, but don't want to pay for a hotel.
Nature is healing and I want people to be able to access it easily!

I want to give as much freedom as possible to workawayers and guests so that they can listen to what they ne

ed while they are here, and get the most from this place and the nature. I want to maintain a state of flow, so for this reason, there are no plans! No minimum amount of time.

I have space for payed guests in the main cabin, and I have space for volunteers in tents.
I have gardening and cleaning work, which for volunteers I ask 10 hours per week.
And I can offer as much as 10 days. After this we can see :) I do not offer food but we often share food. Vegetables here are good and affordable.

There are three beds in the main house, I live separate in my own small cabin, and there are 4 tents that can fit 2 people each on the land.

    I can accommodate 1-4 volunteers

There is a veggie garden and we can always do some weeding, planting, cleaning in the house and garden.

There is the national park 1 hour walk from my home, Chirripo, with cloud forest with waterfalls, jaguars, monkeys, and very wild jungle.
This is a great place for people who like hiking. La Abuelacita is the name, If you want to see more on my Instagram - ask me for my link.

There is no wifi but nextdoor my neighbour let's you use WiFi, she is a very sweet American lady who has lived in Costa Rica 20 years, or the store has WiFi 5min walk.

There is a kitchen and many local farmers markets with interesting people to meet. Fruitarians, spiritual people, travellers, healers. Great food too! There is a small store 5 min away, and a bigger store, bus stop, restaurants and village about 30min walk.

There are also community gatherings such as ecstatic dances, drum circles, yoga classes and meditations, etc. There are many hippies living in this area!

I am originally raised in South Africa, I have lived in Spain, England and United States, mostly West Coast. I can help you with Spanish and I am originally English speaking.

If your arrival is more than 2 weeks away, you can still contact me but since we are always flowing, listening, changing, I don't take plans far in the future too seriously.

It will be a pleasure to hear from you!

    Have fantastic travels
    Pura Vida,
    Jonathan
