    Description

We are a couple living on a beautiful off grid farm 7km from orgiva town.

Our aim for this land is to create an non-profit land based center for practice-based research in arts, ecology and education, underpinned by commitments to social and ecological justice and active organistion for complexity and emergence.

The center will consist of three core projects; a democratic school for young people, a small residential centre for transformative education, art and creative practice, and regenerative agriculture and land management.

These are all projects that are well underway. To bring these projects to full fruition and take our centre to its next phase will. Since our motive is not profit, we are looking for voluntary help and work exchange to support the development of these projects.

We are looking for people with the energy to work hard, with joy, rennovating spaces, expanding and maintaining our syntropic forest project and regenerative land management practices, support the development of spaces for young people,

We are friendly, kind people who enjoy socialising and communal work, and privacy and quiet time. We have periods which are extremly busy and some times which are more quiet so we need people who can adapt to either.

Your working hours will be 9.00 to 2.00 pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday (Thursday is market day). Some meals will be shared, some will be self-catered. Accommodation may be bell tents or a shared farmhouse. It is important to us that you are comfortable and well-fed. Wherever you stay there is a clear expectation it will be kept clean and tidy and left as it was found.

We cannot welcome pets and have limited internet. If you are someone who needs a lot of internet a phone hotspot or dongle may be necessary for you.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

It's pretty corny, but we live in a paradise doing what we believe in. It's not always easy, in fact sometimes it's very hard, but we love it and feel passionate about it.

We hope people coming to contribute to what will be a public project aiming to maximize social good will feel some of the same joy that comes from a clear sense of purpose bigger than ourselves.

Outside of our work time, we can share an amazing space to pursue your passions and interests away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

We are both people that like to socialise but also like to spend time alone. We want to make you feel welcome here but we also look for people who are happy to be with themselves or to explore and get to know our local community.

Please get in touch to discuss further

We have a whole host of projects on the go, currently mainly focused on renovating spaces that will become the residential center for transformative learning, helping with building projects elsewhere on the land, and slowly but surely expanding our regenerative land management practices which include but are not limited to agriculture.

    What else ...

Orgiva is a wonderfully diverse place with a large international community of travellers, hippies, punks and pretty much any other type of person you imagine, as well as the traditional Spanish culture.

Our farm is quite secluded and we are not able to offer you access to a car, so unless you have your own, you will have to rely on lifts into and out of Orgiva or a long walk (7km).

However, there is plenty to do at our place; walk in the mountains, frolic with the cats and dogs, build make and create, and make the most of space and time; something so sadly lacking in most peoples lives.
