We are a couple and some friends living on a farm outside Orgiva.
The long term goal for the land is to create an integrated centre for practice-based research in arts, ecology and education. The hearts of our centre will be a democratic school, an artist residency scheme, and regenerative agriculture and land management.
It's a beautiful dream and we are well on our way. To make the dream a reality will require work, work and more work. More than we can possibly do ourselves.
We are looking for people with the energy to work hard, with joy, to help us bring the farm into order, expand and maintain our syntropic forest project, support the development of spaces for young people, and help us move towards our goals.
We are friendly, kind people who enjoy socialising and communal work, and our privacy and quiet time.
Our working day is from 9.00 to 1.30 pm. Some meals will be shared, some will be self-catered. Accommodation may be in a yurt or a shared farmhouse. It is important to us that you are comfortable and well-fed. Wherever you stay there is a clear expectation it will be kept clean and tidy and left as it was found.

It's pretty corny, but we live in a paradise doing what we believe in. It's not always easy, in fact sometimes it's very hard, but we love it.
We hope people coming to contribute to what will eventually become a public project will feel some of the same joy that comes from a clear sense of purpose which is about more than just ourselves.
Outside of our work time, we can share an amazing space to pursue your passions and interests away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
We have a new syntropic forest and need help preparing the veg beds between the lines and mainataining. This is a new and exciting project and we will need people who want to come and focus fully on this. This is often heavy and hard work.
We also need general help bringing the gardens and land into order, and improving and maintaining them.
There are other ongoing projects which may require help, e.g. building and construction, pruning, strimming, clearing and so on.

Accommodation will be either a yurt or farmhouse. The shower and internet access are in the farmhouse.
Orgiva is a wonderfully diverse place with a large international community of travellers, hippies, punks and pretty much any other type of person you imagine, as well as the traditional Spanish culture.
Our farm is quite secluded and we are not able to offer you access to a car, so unless you have your own, you will have to rely on lifts into and out of Orgiva or a long walk (7km).
However, there is plenty to do at our place; swim in the pool, walk in the mountains, frolic with the dogs, build make and create, and make the most of space and time; something so sadly lacking in most peoples lives.
