We are a small group of artists and musicians living on a beautiful secluded farm in Las Alpujarras in Andalucia.
The farm is different things at different times; holiday rentals, a space for small retreats, a place to invite friends to make music, art, and build stuff, and a small but growing democratic free unschool.

Its pretty corny, but we live in a paradise doing what we believe in. Its not always easy but we love it. For the right people, seeing and being part of that, contributing to the development of a much loved project which provides a loving caring and rich space for young people to empower themselves in, is a once in a liftetime. You may learn all sorts of practical and problem solving skills and if your interested, a great deal about childhood, society and the relation between them.
Outside of our work time we can share an amazing space to pursue your passions and interests away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
We are looking for help improving the infrastructure in our space in preperation for a small but significant expansion in number of kids we support and the depth of what we are offering.
Specifically we will be finishing a library, building a workshop space, finishing an art studio, installing a pond and doing some landscaping and planting.
Familirarity with basic woodwork, use of tools, landscaping, and other building skills are definately preferable. A readiness to work hard, doing whatever needs to be done to get the space ready for the kids is essential!
One day we hope that projects like ours will have money to pay people properly but for now, the state doesn't support freedom for young people. We need your help!
Accommodation will be in a comfortable modernised Alpujarran farmhouse. This is the house that we use for private rentals and retreats, much more luxury than the houses we actually live in. We are happy to share that with you, but cleanliness is essential. We rely on that space to fund our other projects. If you do not keep it clean (which has happened in the past) we will have to ask you to move on.
Orgiva is a wonderfully diverse place with a large international community of travellers, hippies, punks and pretty much any other type of person you imagine, as well as the traditional Spanish culture.
Our farm is quite secluded and we are not able to offer you access to a car, so unless you have your own, you will have to rely on lifts into and out of Orgiva or a long walk (7km).
However, there is plenty to do at our place; swim in the pool, walk in the mountains, frolic with the dogs, build make and create, and make the most of space and time; something so sadly lacking in most peoples lives.
