Description
We are currently four people living on a beautiful off grid farm 7km from Orgiva town.
Here we strive to live and cultivate a nature-culture, moving beyond the artificial separation between natural and human worlds imposed upon us by modernity. We believe in the wisdom that emerges in the coming together of intentions, skills, actions, and individuals that aim to build social, ecological, and cultural “top soil;” a nurturing layer of being that facilitates mutually beneficial ecosystems and life.
We are currently in the process of creating an operational, self-sustaining system of passionate individuals and intertwining projects to bring our vision into fruition.
Volunteers and the coming-together of diverse skills, passions, and interests is central in the realization of our vision, and we are excited to welcome you to become a part of the ecosystem on this land during your time here.
It is important for us to mention that our Finca is remote and quiet, and we want to ensure that our volunteers feel comfortable with a slow pace of life, with entertaining themselves, and taking care of their own social needs while they are here.
We are looking for people with the energy and willingness to work hard, with joy. Work varies depending on the moment but is generally related to maintaining and developing physical infrastructure and working the land.
We are friendly, kind people who enjoy socializing and communal work, and privacy and quiet time. We have some periods which are extremely busy and some periods which are very quiet. Volunteers need to be comfortable with either and able to be at peace in a remote location.
You will work 5 hours a day, 5 days a week, with times and days depending on the season. Generally meals will be shared, but you must be also comfortable with self-catering. Accommodation may be in bell tents or a shared farmhouse. It is important to us that you are comfortable and well-fed. Wherever you stay there is a clear expectation it will be kept clean and tidy and left as it was found.
The farm has one dog named Bosco and three cats Camaron, Chispa and Grey. All our animals are free to go where they like and are harmless. If you are allergic perhaps this is not the right fit for you. Unfortunately at this time we're not able to welcome more furry friends.
We have limited internet. If you understand yourself as a 'digital nomad' please make that clear in your communication to us.
Current projects (Feb/Mar 2025):
We started building an outdoor kitchen which we're planning to finish among with some other wood work on site. So people with building skills or those willing and interested to learn about working with wood are very welcome. There will also be plenty of work on the land in general like taking care of the trees, starting new veggie beds, taking care of the existing ones, clearing parts of the land... and much more. So we're happy to welcome people interested in regenerative agriculture, working the land and living off the grid.Types of help and learning opportunities

It's pretty corny, but we live in a paradise doing what we believe in. It's not always easy, in fact sometimes it's very hard, but we love it and feel passionate about it.
We hope people coming to contribute to what will be a public project aiming to maximize social good will feel some of the same joy that comes from a clear sense of purpose bigger than ourselves.
Outside of our work time, we can share an amazing space to pursue your passions and interests away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
We are both people that like to socialise but also like to spend time alone. We want to make you feel welcome here but we also look for people who are happy to be with themselves or to explore and get to know our local community.
Please get in touch to discuss furtherHelp
Generally the happens outside and and is physically demanding to some extend. It includes all the tasks of stewarding land such as clearing, weeding, planting or harvesting, depending on the season. On some days in the week the focus will be on our agro forestry system and besides that there are always more plans and dreams to work on. We also started building an outdoor kitchen we'd be happy to continue working on as well as on some other woodwork projects. We really enjoy what we are doing here and are happy to welcome volunteers with passion and interest for a regenerative land-based lifestyle and the will to learn and to share their knowledge.

Accommodation will be either in nicely set up bell tents, camping, your own vehicles or a shared farmhouse. We don't have access to good internet so ask you to please use your own phone internet. There is solar power and showers. We ask if you can come with your own towels. We provide bedding.
What else ...
Orgiva is a wonderfully diverse place with a large international community of travellers, hippies, punks and pretty much any other type of person you imagine, as well as the traditional Spanish culture.
Our farm is quite secluded and we are not able to offer you access to a car, so unless you have your own, you will have to rely on lifts into and out of Orgiva or a long walk (7km).
However, there is plenty to do at our place; walk in the mountains, frolic with the cats and dogs, build make and create, and make the most of space and time; something so sadly lacking in most peoples lives.A little more information
