Description
Hello travelers!
We are a millennial couple who recently welcomed our first baby this spring (May 2026). We live a calm, conscious, and nature-connected life in Montblanc, a stunning medieval town surrounded by mountains in Catalonia.
Since we are both remote workers and now new parents, traveling is a bit difficult for us right now. So, our main goal in joining Workaway is to bring the world into our home! We love the idea of sharing our culture, practicing languages, and building a supportive "mini-village" feeling with a like-minded traveler.
We are really excited to learn about your background, taste the traditional food from your country, and hear your travel stories, while we share our passion for the Mediterranean slow lifestyle, vanlife, and local nature.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
This is the absolute heart of our profile! We have a very multicultural mindset and we speak Spanish, Catalan, English, and French.
Language Immersion (Spanish & Catalan): Elena is actually a professional Spanish teacher! While she is currently on maternity leave taking it easy, she naturally loves helping people improve their fluency, correct pronunciation, and learn real-life vocabulary. If you want to improve your Spanish, our home is the perfect immersion environment.
Shared connection: We will share lunches together during the week. This is our favorite time to practice languages, exchange cultural views, and connect.
Campervan tips & Nature: If you love alternative ways of living, we are more than happy to share our knowledge about vanlife and guide you to the best hidden hiking spots around the Prades Mountains.

Help
We are looking for someone to join our family dynamic, almost like a friend or a collaborative flatmate. As we are adapting to life with a newborn, we would love an extra pair of hands to share the organic, daily rhythm of the house so we can enjoy this beautiful but intense parenting phase.
We do NOT need childcare (our baby is always with us), but we would love your collaborative spirit in two main ways:
Cooking and sharing recipes: We love wholesome food! We would love your help preparing healthy daily meals. It’s a great opportunity for us to teach you our favorite Mediterranean and Spanish recipes, and we would be absolutely thrilled if you could cook some typical dishes from your own culture for us!
Keeping the home cozy: Helping us with the daily teamwork to keep the common areas welcoming and tidy (for example, helping with the dishes after we cook together, keeping the kitchen clean, or giving a hand with light daily tidying/laundry).
We value an independent person who understands the quiet rhythm of a house with a newborn and just wants to share a peaceful daily life with us.

We love languages and our home is very multicultural! As you can see, we speak Spanish, Catalan, English, and French fluently. The biggest highlight of our language exchange is that Elena is a professional Spanish teacher. Since we just had a baby and she is on maternity leave, she won't be giving formal, structured lessons with grammar sheets. However, she has an natural gift for helping people improve their fluency, correct pronunciation, and learn real-life vocabulary. If your goal is to immerse yourself in Spanish (or Catalan!) and practice with native speakers who love linguistics, you will find a wonderful environment here. We are also more than happy to practice our English or French with you during our shared lunches and casual coffee chats. We just ask for an easy-going approach, as our conversations will naturally follow the quiet, slow rhythms of our newborn baby!
Accommodation
Your Private Space:
You will be staying in our cozy, clean, and fully equipped campervan/caravan parked on our property. It is your own private sanctuary, offering total independence.
Inside the caravan: You will find a comfortable bed (we provide all clean bedding, sheets, and blankets), a small seating area, storage space, electricity, and a strong Wi-Fi connection.
Facilities: You will have access to a bathroom and shower facilities. It is a perfect spot to unwind, read, or enjoy the quiet nature surrounding us during your free time.
How Food Works (3 meals a day included):
Breakfast: We will provide groceries and staples in your caravan (coffee, tea, bread, fruit, oats, etc.) so you can enjoy a quiet, independent breakfast at your own pace in the morning.
Lunch: We usually share a warm lunch together on weekdays in the main house. It's our favorite time to sit down, chat, practice languages, and connect.
Dinner: Since evenings can be unpredictable with a newborn’s sleep routines, dinners are independent. You will have full access to food from our kitchen or the meals we have prepared together during the day to enjoy back in your caravan.
We love fresh, healthy ingredients and we always make sure our kitchen is well-stocked. If you have any specific dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan, etc.), just let us know in advance!
What else ...
We live in Montblanc (Tarragona), a beautiful and historic medieval town surrounded by nature and mountains. Our house is located in a quiet, peaceful residential area, but it's just a 5-minute walk from the famous medieval walls and the town center. This means you will have the best of both worlds: a serene, quiet environment to relax, and the convenience of walking to local shops, cafes, and markets without needing a car.
A few gentle guidelines:
Quiet environment: Because our baby’s nervous system is developing and we are navigating newborn sleep, we ask for a quiet and peaceful atmosphere, especially during the evening and night hours.
No smoking / No parties: Our home and property are strictly smoke-free and party-free zones. We want to maintain a clean, healthy, and serene space for our baby.
Respecting our newborn rhythms: There will be times when we are completely in our parenting bubble (feeding, soothing, or just catching up on sleep!). We truly appreciate your understanding when we need some quiet, family-only downtime inside the house.
Time off and Logistics:
Transportation: Since we are just a 5-minute walk from the town center, public transport (train and bus connections to Tarragona, Reus, and Barcelona) is easily accessible. Having your own car is great if you want to explore deeper into the mountains, but it is absolutely not necessary for daily life here.
Explore nature & history: During your free days, you can get lost in the beautiful medieval streets of Montblanc, hike in the nearby Prades Mountains (Muntanyes de Prades), or simply relax in the sun next to your caravan.

We are smokers

Can host families

Can host digital nomads
Both of us actually remote-work from home (teletrabajo) as well! So we fully understand the digital nomad lifestyle, the need for deep focus hours, and a good internet connection. We have reliable, stable Wi-Fi that reaches the caravan, so you can easily work on your own projects during your free time. Because we will be busy balancing our remote work and our newborn baby during the day, we highly value a Workawayer who is independent, autonomous, and can manage their helping hours smoothly alongside their own screen time.

Space for parking camper vans
Our static caravan is safely parked on our residential property, surrounded by a calm environment, and it is fully connected to electricity, fresh water, and Wi-Fi. However, if you are a traveler already road-tripping in your own campervan, motorhome, or caravan, you are more than welcome to bring and use your own vehicle instead! We have a great, safe space on our property with easy hookups for electricity and water, plus access to our bathroom and shower facilities. Whether you stay in our cozy caravan or bring your own home on wheels, everything is set up for you to feel comfortable!
