Hello! We are Sophie and Grecco, a married couple living in the heart of Valladolid, Yucatán, with our two amazing kids — a creative 10-year-old daughter and a joyful toddler who keeps us on our toes!
Sophie has been a Workaway volunteer herself and treasures the connections she made through this platform — now it’s our turn to give back and open our home to fellow travelers and kind souls from around the world. We live in a cozy and colorful home filled with music, movement, and shared laughter.
Our daily life mixes parenting, running our family real estate business, cleaning up Legos, and chasing dreams — sometimes all at once. Weekends are for softball games and cenote adventures, while weekdays often bring rhythm, routine, and some beautiful chaos.
What we need most right now is help with household cleaning and occasional support with our little one. We truly appreciate extra hands that bring calm, creativity, and presence into our home.
We value kindness, flexibility, curiosity, and people who feel at ease being themselves. If you love being around kids, enjoy living in a family dynamic, and find joy in the small things — you might just feel at home here.

Help
We’re currently looking for someone who feels comfortable joining the rhythm of our home — someone kind, intuitive, proactive, and especially great with kids.
The help we need includes:
• 🧼 General cleaning: sweeping and mopping floors, doing dishes, wiping surfaces, folding laundry, and keeping shared spaces like the kitchen, bathroom and playroom fresh and cozy
• 🧽 Cleaning the small backyard pool (just a simple maintenance routine, nothing technical)
• 👶 Occasional support with our toddler, especially when both of us are busy or out running errands
If there are two Workawayers with us, we may add a few fun extra tasks like reorganizing a room, deep cleaning a corner of the house, or helping with something seasonal.
We don’t expect perfection — just a good heart and a steady presence. If you enjoy a calm but lively home and being part of family energy, we think you’ll feel welcome here.

While your main role will be focused on supporting us at home, we’d love to hear from you if you have experience with Facebook marketing or GoHighLevel (CRM & automation platform). These are tools we’re currently using to grow and organize our small family business, so any help or ideas would be genuinely appreciated.

Accommodation
You’ll have your own private bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a private bathroom with a shower — a comfortable and quiet space to rest and recharge.
We share one main meal every day around 2 p.m., which we prepare and enjoy together. While other meals aren’t formally included, we often enjoy light dinners like milkshakes, smoothies or sandwiches, and we love swapping recipes and making things together just for the joy of it.
You’ll also have access to high-speed Wi-Fi, Netflix, a washing machine, and our sunny backyard pool — perfect for cooling off or just hanging out with a book and a cold drink.
What else ...
Valladolid is a magical little city — calm and walkable, yet full of life, colors, and culture. There’s a beautiful cenote just a few blocks from our house, and many more within biking or colectivo distance.
You’ll find live music in the parks, street food on every corner, and Sunday nights in the plaza where people dance to traditional rhythms under the stars.
We’re also just a short ride from iconic places like Chichén Itzá, Ek’ Balam, and several colonial villages that are worth a visit.
Local colectivos and buses run often, so it’s easy to move around. And if you’re in the mood to chill, there’s always the hammock, a book, and a cold drink waiting for you at home.

We have a strong and stable Wi-Fi connection (around 100 Mbps download / 60 Mbps upload) which works well for most online work. While internet outages are rare, they can happen occasionally like anywhere in Mexico.

Kalesi is a sweet little girl who has NEVER been aggressive to anyone, including our quick moving kiddos. She rarely spends time in the house, as she prefers to be outside in our back patio (so the house has very little cat hair if that is a concern). Everyone always comments on how lucky we are to have such a kind little cat, so we are sure you'll love her too!
