Description
We have a small family run farm in the Maule Valley, central Chile. 300km south of Santiago. We are turning part of the farm into an equestrian facility and we need help with building stables, making fences, clearing paths in our small forest for trail riding, painting, making riding arenas and maybe some light work in one of our three greenhouses.
There are lots of interesting places to explore in this area: Talca, a big city with everything you'll need (cinemas, bars, restaurants, museums, football stadium, historic buildings etc.), the Andes mountains, the coastal mountains, the Pacific ocean, Maule River etc. The Maule Valley is the home of the Huaso, the Chilean cowboy, and you'll find local horse races and rodeos almost every week in the high season. You can use our bicycles and try to find the Querquel Lagoon in the coastal mountains, a couple of hours away.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
It’s a great way to experience the rural and traditional Chile from inside, meet the locals and improve your Spanish.
From here you can take trips to the Andes Mountains (rivers, lakes, hot springs) , the coastal mountains, go bicycle riding, experience local horse races, rodeos...Help
In this first stage we'll need a couple of handy young people, who enjoy some physical work. We need help with building horse stables, making fencing, clearing trails for horse riding, making riding arenas, painting, clearing land for building and maybe light work in in of our three greenhouses.
You will ideally have some experience with basic woodwork and DIY, but most important is that you’re not afraid to help out and work in whatever is needed.Languages
