    Description

It is a rustic farmhouse, the interior is functional but the finishing touches are not yet complete. There are three bedrooms and a partially furnished upper floor. We can accommodate a volunteer either in one of the bedrooms or upstairs. The bathrooms and toilets are on the first level.

We eat organic food, with no dietary restrictions. We generally dine together; everyone is free to have breakfast and lunch as they wish, although we often eat meals together. We love good coffee, good wine, good herbal teas (especially those made with our plants!), and good vegetables. We eat meat (little red meat) in reasonable quantities, lots of vegetables and fruits, and bread, which I make regularly. Life in nature is what I am passionate about.

Permaculture is at the center of my life project. I am also a trout fisherman (with artificial flies), a great music lover, a mushroom picker, and an occasional pétanque player!

There are dozens of kilometers of nature walks to do. From the farm you have a breathtaking view of Mt Ventoux which dominates the Rhône valley to the west. Nearby you will find tourist villages like Banon and Sault, with typical local products (lavender, chestnuts, goat cheese, etc.). We are in the middle of lavender fields and it is spectacular to see in July. Our farm is located close to Mt Ventoux which overlooks the Rhône valley. It is surrounded by lavender fields which come into full bloom in July. There are countless hiking trails around the area and you can actually start off from our farm. Visits to villages such as Banon or Sault are a "must". They are touristy places but worth the time spent strolling down their streets. Many villages are "perched" on top of hills.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We are a multilingual family. We speak English and French mainly, my daughter (the one who lives with us) speaks Swahili too and I speak a little Spanish, my wife a little Italian and Japanese too ... I am Provençal and my wife Australian, my children are all mixed African. We like to interact with new people, from different cultures. We have traveled a lot and met people from quite a few countries in which we have worked ... at our farm you will take part with us in the daily activities, especially around the garden. But as we are always in the process of developing the place (we have been in the walls for just a year!) there are plenty of things to do for those who know how. Evening meals are taken together, often breakfast and lunch too. We like to talk and exchange and we will make you discover this magnificent corner of Provence covered in lavender in July!

    Accommodation

In a room or a tent. Dinners are eaten together, and other meals are often served as well. And coffee or tea, of course! I make my own sourdough bread and would be delighted to share this knowledge! And a little sourdough starter to start your own bread!

    What else ...

The region is magnificent to explore with Mt Ventoux nearby, Fontaine de Vaucluse not far away, the hilltop villages all around, lavender in July, a few rivers 20/30 minutes away for swimming in summer and walks, walks and more walks in a vast and sparsely populated area. There are also tourist sites such as the villages of Banon and Sault or Montbrun les bains.
