    Description

This is a place to explore life as an art, create art in different mediums, recharge, and get inspired, and explore the art of tattoo! This is a small intimate family home, working seriously for metaphysical growth, at the same time “keeping it real” and fun!

We are nestled in an amazing Jungle right next to a river, just south of Playa San Juanillo where two beaches merge as one, and just North of Ostional, a nesting grounds for hundreds of turtles! We have Howler Monkeys in the trees a bamboo garden, and a killer fire pit for communion. I have always wanted to have a place to help people seek answers.
I have been a Mystic for as long as I can remember, and a Tattooist for 20 years. I seek inner truth and closeness to the Energy that is everything. I have a strong daily practice of Yoga and meditation And personal practices. I live life in constant prayer and I weave Energy in all that I do including my Tattoos. I strive for a deeper more ceremonial experience for tattoo customers, and to help others on there own journey towards enlightenment.

l hold this space for freaks, and geeks that dance to the beat of their own drum. CoMA is a Temple for all genders, orientations, creatures and aliens. We focus on art daily and work together to help each other grow spiritually and create a family. There is no fixed curriculum, we hold the space for you to work on your own practice, including yoga, meditation, ceremony, and others. We are working together and helping each other keep an environment that takes care of our earthly bodies, as well as caring for Sophie, my daughter, who is 4. We study and discus ideas from Nicola Tesla, Allen Watts, George Gurdguff, Brian Cox, Dion Fortune, Abraham Hicks, Christina Pratt... ect. We keep The space tranquil, for Study, inner work, and podcasting.

While you are here, you can expect a lot of very quiet, personal time. We set intentions everyday and chose what we will each do for the house and what we will work on for ourselves. For the house you can babysit, clean, cook, or garden. Other projects that we have supplies for is , painting, wood working, writing, tattooing, yoga and meditation, and being on the podcast.

The Mystic Arts Podcast where mystics artist and travelers can share there stories, and connect with listeners around the world. I am passionate about helping people and the community, the momentum has started and I need you to help keep it going, and gain energy so that you can then, take it with you and spread the good vibes all over the world.

Tattoo prices are very affordable, and there is usually students that need practice skin! We spend a lot of our days tattooing each other. We have a nice 'art/tattoo studio' that is intimate and close to nature, so you can feel at one with the rainforest while giving and receiving tattoos. You can explore tattooing yourself and ask about the availability of tattoo apprenticeships!

September 1st the volunteer apprenticeship position is available. It is a 4-5 month full apprenticeship. Includes a private room and food during your stay. Plus free tattoos while you learn how to tattoo. You will be the CoMA manager as the work exchange. Please ask about application in the message!

Our arts center is designed to give travelers the space to truly work on their own spiritual growth, and gain artistic inspiration from within and from the amazing paradise that surrounds us! Our goal is for everyone to learn more about living simply and responsibly, as well as having the ability to explore individual, artistic creativity, and personal spirituality. While here you will be helped through the processes of developing your own practices, you will be instructed on how to do yoga for yourself and create your own meditations, so that you can tap into the cosmic library, and take this with you wherever you go. You will have other like minded people to bounce ideas off of, and pull from their unique experiences. Plus you will have the personal space to quiet the mind and work within yourself.

We are open to receive people who want to share their style of art, get a project started, and dive deeply into themselves. We are serious about health and explore any known practice that can help us strengthen our vibrations and help us get closer to the divine. We spend a few hours on house work and the rest of the time is for meditations, yoga, art, internal work, deep conversation, and group practices.

    Accommodation

We have a large, shared dorm room in the house with a queen size bed and 2 singles, and two large tents available close to the house, a volunteer bathroom and shower, and a shared kitchen. Laundry is free and available once a week, and meals are discussed and planed together.

Here , we practice conscious eating. We believe that the body is deeply connected to both the mind and the spirit and reflect this belief in our everyday diet. We eat a mostly plant based diet rich in alkaline foods. You are welcome to eat foods that deviate from our diet in town at the sodas or the super, but we ask that when eating in the house you respect the communal food choices. :-) But we also see cooking as an art and if called to do so anyone can create a unique meal when planned for.
We ask for a small donation (per person) to help the community with food costs, toiletries, electricity, art supplies, and all that stuff.

    What else ...

There is plenty of time to explore the area. The river is just a short walk from the center, and amazing! The beach in San Juanillo is only a 30 min walk from the door step, and there is a bus that goes to Nosara and Playa Guiones. We often take the 45 min drive together to Guiones. This is a very safe area, and hitchhiking is very common, but as with any adventure, we ask all to practice safety.
I am looking for travelers who are interested in going with-in themselves to focus on art, community, and introspection. I ask that each person be self-motivated and pro-active. This is not really a place for action seekers. We are very laid back and in a very remote area, so please keep that in mind, as well as having patience and understanding for a 3 year old who is figuring out how to be a human. 🙏
