    Hello, my name is Bubacarr and I work alongside my colleague Julia, we run a charitable organization in the west coast region of Gambia that's empowering smallholder farmers in semi arid region of Africa to thrive in challenging climates through sustainable agriculture practices including Climate resilient farming, afforestation, bee keeping and Agro-processing.
    Our family is the most predominant and oldest settlers tribe from Ndemban Jola in Foni Berefet district, West Coast Region in the Gambia.

    Workawayers will be able to integrate themselves in everyday living like indigenous people do. They will get to enjoy direct interaction with different communities that has diverse and rich cultural values. These consists of different tribes, languages like Jola, Mandinka, Wolof, Fula, and Manjako, all living in coexistence with each others for centuries.
    Travelers can learn and experience cultivation of locally grown crops such as Rice, groundnuts, Findi, maize and vegetables etc. and enjoy food such as "Domoda" Bennikin and other native foods and drink.

    We welcome volunteers with backgrounds in various areas such as:
    - Technical personnel in software development
    - Agronomics
    - Environmental conservation
    - Agriculture (Horticulture, Afforestation)
    - Agro food processing, and
    - Beekeeping

    The volunteers helped us with teaching and creating awareness in farmers' communities and also working together with the team to achieve our targeted goals and skill-sharing during their stay with us.

    Generous donation is required from Workawayers, to contribute to the sustainability of our charitable organization.

    A big room self contain in the main building with access to sitting room and kitchen. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served everyday, and travelers are free if they want to cook something themselves.

    For free time? Workawayers will be glad to know that from our accommodating building, you are less than five (5) minute walk to the west coast region beaches, less than two (2) minute walk to catch a bus to anywhere around town, and less than thirty (30) minute to Banjul airport.
    Often, volunteers are welcome to go on trip to villages, our local farmers communities and visit to friends places of establishment.
