    Hi! I’m Tess from Texas. I live over half the year in a village home in Neffies, a beautiful French village in the Languedoc. I am a English teacher, a cook and own a small rental property on the ground floor of my home. As a SuperHost of a hosting platform, my average guest ratings have never fallen below 4.8 stars out of five. I am also a host with another platform. I am passionate about guests and meeting new people. I can accept couples. I own a car (standard transmission) so sharing getting around can happen too! Eclectic and a bit unconventional describes me, so I can get along with anyone who is open-minded and loves to learn.

    I am extremely knowledgeable on the history of the region and am very familiar with local flea and food markets. In short, I am an outstanding guide, full of ideas no matter your interests. I am a cook, so cooking together in my large, open kitchen is definitely something that can happen if you would like to learn about the cuisine of the Languedoc. I speak passable French, enough to communicate. I am an English tutor for French students so that exchange is possible as well.

    I need help with interior painting (interior walls), first project. I also have a carpentry project, second project. These can be two different projects so don’t hesitate to contact me if you are one or the other. The carpentry project is an interior window. It shouldn’t be too complicated as it is going into drywall. It is only to be decorative and add an architectural detail. I also need shelves hung.

    Private, sunny bedroom with two single beds. Bedroom is on the second floor. Full bath with shower/tub on the first floor is for my guest.

    So convenient being just 1 block from the town center and 1 minute from parking. Guests are welcome to use my terraces including my roof terrace with stunning views. Ideal location to explore the region from beaches (30k) to many small villages that dot the landscape to towns & cities (Roujan 5k, Pezenas 11k Beziers 18k, Narbonne 58k). For breathtaking views, drive through the Parc de Haute Languedoc to the historic Cathedral town of Cleremont Hereault (20k). Neffies borders the Parc which also offers excellent hiking. Nearby Lac de Salagou (28k) is a Languedoc jewel. Umbrella, mats and beach towels are available on request (no need to pack bulky stuff!). If you like brocantes (flea markets) and Marches (markets), I'm the person to know! I l always have an updated calendar and know the best ones. I look forward to hosting you in my village home in beautiful Neffies!
