  Description

  Hi, my name is Giuseppe, I'm 50 years old and I'm the father of Sole, 9 years old, and Alma, 5 years old. We live in the countryside, immersed in nature, in a splendid land called Tuscia, in the north of Lazio. In particular, we are 10 minutes from Lake Bolsena, the largest lake of volcanic origin in Europe. Our land is truly rich in beauty, there is a lot to explore! We are grateful to live here. We are not originally from here, but we have chosen to live in this wonderful rural land and create our family. However, we are 30 minutes from Viterbo and just over an hour from Rome. We are also very close to the Tuscany region. I own a farm and manage six hectares, in which we have planted many different fruit trees, many of them of ancient varieties, we also grow vegetables, I have olive trees from which I get organic olive oil, I have a dozen beehives, so I also produce honey and other bee products. Finally, I have about a hundred chickens for egg production, a horse, a donkey, four dogs (very docile!) and dozens of cats.
  
  Our property is divided into 2 hectares where our farmhouse with all the animals is located, and 4 hectares (in the same countryside, but about 5 minutes from our house) where there are plantations and a splendid natural landscape represented by a riparian area: there is therefore a perennial stream protected by many forest trees; here we have built a charming 32 m2 house where you can stay and provide all the essentials to feel comfortable at home.
  As you can imagine, we have a lot to do on our small but lively farm, starting with the children!
  
  We need help at home: to clean and arrange the garden, including the preparation/management of the courtyard intended for growing vegetables for the family (not for harvesting products for the market, since we have a permanent employee for this). Now we need help harvesting the autumn fruits and tidying up the house, making space, I really need it 🙏 Maybe, if you have a bit of manual skills, it would be fantastic, to create something together!
  
  I am mainly looking for a woman or girl with children to fully share the experience. I can accommodate one to four people in the mobile home. I would like to share our meals, especially if, like me, you are a lover of good food and want to introduce me to some typical dishes of the culinary tradition of your country. We will appreciate it very much, especially if we find the opportunity to cook together! These moments of sharing are a source of great wealth for us. We prepare many traditional dishes and I make a delicious pizza cooked in a wood-fired oven (if you have experience building a terracotta oven we would be delighted to learn!).
  We don't speak English fluently, so we would be happy to practice if you come from an Anglo-Saxon country, but I speak Spanish reasonably well.
  
  Of course, I would also like to meet other Italians from other regions of Italy to share the traditions of our beautiful land!
  Last but not least, I would appreciate it if you showed a natural positive predisposition towards children, creating moments of experiential learning of foreign languages ​​and cultures for them.

  The small house I provide is exclusively for Workawayers; it includes two bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower, and a small living area with a kitchenette.
  We are not a farm-stay.
  The cultural exchange I propose involves swapping recipes and cooking together—preparing either Italian dishes (I am an excellent cook) or dishes from the Workawayer's home country.

  Ciao mi chiamo Giuseppe ho 50 anni e sono padre di Sole 9anni e Alma 5 anni . Viviamo in campagna, immersi nella natura, in una splendida terra chiamata Tuscia, nel nord del Lazio. In particolare, siamo a 10 minuti dal lago di Bolsena, il più grande lago di origine vulcanica d'Europa. La nostra terra è davvero ricca di bellezze, c'è molto da esplorare! Siamo grati di vivere qui. Non siamo originari di qui, ma abbiamo scelto di vivere in questa meravigliosa terra rurale e di creare la nostra famiglia. Comunque, siamo a 30 minuti da Viterbo e a poco più di un'ora da Roma. Siamo anche molto vicini alla regione Toscana. Posseggo un'azienda agricola e gestisco sei ettari, nei quali abbiamo piantato molti alberi da frutto diversi, molti dei quali di varietà antiche, coltiviamo anche ortaggi, ho ulivi da cui ottengo olio d'oliva biologico, ho una dozzina di arnie, quindi produco anche miele e altri prodotti delle api. Infine, ho circa un centinaio di galline, per la produzione di uova, un cavallo, un asino, quattro cani (molto docili!) e decine di gatti.
  La nostra proprietà è divisa in 2 ettari dove si trova il nostro casale con tutti gli animali, e 4 ettari (nella stessa campagna, ma a circa 5 minuti da casa nostra) dove si trovano piantagioni e uno splendido paesaggio naturale rappresentato da una zona ripariale: c'è quindi un ruscello perenne protetto da molti alberi forestali; qui abbiamo costruito un'incantevole casetta di 32 mq dove è possibile soggiornare e fornire tutto l'essenziale per sentirsi a proprio agio come a casa.
  Come potete immaginare, abbiamo molto da fare nella nostra piccola ma vivace fattoria, a cominciare dai bambini! Abbiamo bisogno di aiuto in casa: per pulire e sistemare l'orto, compresa la preparazione/gestione del cortile destinato alla coltivazione di ortaggi per la famiglia (non per la raccolta di prodotti destinati al mercato, dato che per questo abbiamo un dipendente fisso). Ora abbiamo bisogno di aiuto per la raccolta dei frutti autunnali e per sistemare la casa, facendo spazio, ne ho davvero bisogno 🙏 Magari, se avete un po' di manualità, sarebbe fantastico, per creare qualcosa insieme! Cerco principalmente una persona donna o ragazza anche con bambini per condividere appieno l'esperienza, Posso ospitare nella casa mobile da una a quattro persone. Mi piacerebbe condividere i nostri pasti, soprattutto se, come me, siete amanti della buona cucina e volete farmi conoscere alcuni piatti tipici della tradizione culinaria del vostro paese. Lo apprezzeremo moltissimo, soprattutto se trovassimo l'occasione di cucinare insieme! Questi momenti di condivisione sono per noi fonte di grande ricchezza. Prepariamo molti piatti tradizionali e faccio una pizza squisita cotta nel forno a legna (se avete esperienza nella costruzione di un forno in terracotta saremmo felicissimi di imparare!).
  Non parliamo inglese fluentemente, quindi saremmo felici di fare pratica se venite da un paese anglosassone, ma parlo spagnolo discretamente.
  Naturalmente, mi piacerebbe incontrare anche altri italiani provenienti da altre regioni d'Italia per condividere le tradizioni della nostra bellissima terra!
  Infine, ma non meno importante, apprezzerei se mostraste una naturale predisposizione positiva verso i bambini, creando per loro momenti di apprendimento esperienziale di lingue e culture straniere.
  Infine, è IMPORTANTE che abbiate la macchina oppure almeno la patente di guida per essere autonomi nei vari spostamenti. Grazie
  
  La casetta che metto a disposizione è ad uso solo per i workaway, e compresa di 2 stanze 1 bagno con doccia un salottino con angolo cottura.

  La scambio culturale che propongo e scambio di ricette e cucinare insieme piatti italiani (io sono un bravissimo cuoco)oppure del paese di provenienza del workaway .

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  I really like to experiment with the typical cuisine of foreign countries,
  I would like to be able to improve my English and Spanish which I know at a basic level. With the workaways, we will share meals but also trips to the area, where there are many places to visit such as Viterbo Tuscania Marta Capodimonte and Montefiascone.
  I can also teach you to distinguish the edible wild herbs of my territory.
