    Hello Friend!

    Please read our entire profile and follow instructions on what your first message should contain. It shows us that you read our profile, can follow instructions and it saves us time asking the normal questions then waiting for your response.
    :-) Thank you so much :-)

    We are currently welcoming volunteers for the spring and summer to help with some light gardening and organizing. Whether you’re exploring van life, living tiny, or simply taking a break from the fast pace of modern life, this space offers a peaceful place to reset and reconnect.

    About Me
    You can call me Mama Shakti, I am a mid-50 Solo Micro Farmer and Wellness Coach living in Georgia. I enjoy teaching and mentoring young people. I host guests who are open hearted, helpful, and curious about sustainable living. I have a modest home on about a half-acre of land, just outside of the beautiful city of Atlanta, where I have indoor and outdoor projects I could use your help with. From tasks with bamboo to gardening and general tasks around the home, I've got plenty of fun for you!

    Volunteers Over the Years
    We’ve had incredible volunteers over the years. Past guests often leave feeling refreshed, inspired, and more connected to themselves. Many describe this as a healing and rewarding work exchange. It's more than a stay, it’s an invitation for growth, healing, and enriching help, all while enjoying a plant-based, nature-connected lifestyle.

    Please Read Before You Reach Out
    This is a rustic, nature forward homestead. We live close to the land, and that means sharing space with some of nature’s smaller guests, spiders, ants, mosquitoes, and the occasional critter. While we do our best to keep indoor spaces welcoming, this isn't a bug-free environment. If insects or natural sounds make you uneasy, this may not be the right fit, and that’s okay. But if you’re someone who finds peace in the rhythm of nature and can be present with its wildness, this space can offer you something special.

    What You Get
       •   🌿 A peaceful space to ground yourself before your next adventure
       •   🏡 Parking & stay options for tiny homes, vans, and nomadic travelers
       •   ✨ A supportive, like-minded environment
       •   🌍 A chance to contribute to something meaningful

    If this sounds like your vibe, don't hesitate to reach out. Let’s build something beautiful together.

    Note: If accepted, your first day will be focused on tidying up to your liking to help you feel comfortable and settled in so you can fully relax and feel at home.

    Forget the theory. As a Master Gardener, I’m going to show you how to read the land. You’ll learn that soil isn't just "dirt"—it’s a living, breathing community.

    You’ll walk away knowing how to start a garden anywhere, whether you have a backyard or just a sunny windowsill. You’ll learn how to do tasks with nature rather than trying to conquer it.

    In the microgreens setup, you’ll see the high-tech (or high-efficiency) side of farming. It’s fast-paced, precise, and incredibly rewarding.

    You’ll master the art of high-density nutrition. I’ll teach you how to turn a handful of seeds into a gourmet, nutrient-dense harvest in under two weeks. It’s the ultimate "life hack" for self-sufficiency.

    Since I’m a vegan chef, our meals aren't just fuel—they’re the grand finale of our hard work. You won't just be eating "salad." You’ll learn how to take those microgreens and garden harvests and turn them into world-class, plant-based meals. You’ll pick up chef skills that make "eating your veggies" the highlight of your day, not a chore.

    Beyond the skills, the real benefit is the shift in perspective. You’ll experience what it’s like to live "closed-loop."

    The bamboo provides the shelter.
    The garden provides the food.
    The kitchen waste feeds the soil.

    The soil grows the food again.
    You’ll leave here not just with a new set of skills for your resume, but with a blueprint for how to live a more intentional, grounded life.

    Accommodation

    Your accommodations:
    All are welcome; however, we love our van life mobile dwellings. There is also space for tents, tiny homes, and car camping as well as a shared community space downstairs in our basement apartment. It is not luxurious, but there is a full bathroom, mini-fridge, microwave, and a couple of comfy futons that sleep pretty well, with an outdoor eating space where you can have your meals. All meals are plant-based and nutritious.

    Independent lodging:
    Mobile dwellers who have their own lodging are welcome to stay longer term.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    We eat very healthy vegetarian-friendly meals and will offer meals daily or provide ingredients to cook. If you require more than that, there are many great restaurants nearby.
    We enjoy hosting volunteers who have their own mobile dwellings, but are open to all. However, if you are fortunate enough to have your own tiny home, RV, or camper van, there is an opening to stay long-term instead of the normal two-week stays. You will have access to the common areas, the garden apartment with full bath and wifi, in addition to healthy, delicious vegan meals, of course.
