    Description

    Hello travellers, and welcome.
We are a family of five- Francois, Arcana, and our three children, aged 11, 9, and 6-living quietly in the beautiful mountain valley of Lorinna, in the northwest of Tasmania. Here, on our 30-acre Certified Organic farm, tucked within an off-grid community, we are slowly building a life deeply rooted in the land, family, and simple living.
Our home is surrounded by rolling hills, forest, fresh mountain air, and wide-open skies. It is peaceful, wild, and full of possibility.
Francois is originally from Brittany (Bretagne, France). His passions are deeply connected to the earth, biodynamic and organic farming, fermenting, botany, cooking, gardening, viticulture, and of course, making and enjoying beautiful wine. He brings a wealth of knowledge, hard work, and a deep love for quality food and craftsmanship.
I’m Arcana, originally from Adelaide. My heart is in raising our children, home education, creating a warm and nourishing home, organic gardening, cheesemaking, baking, pottery, music, and slow living. You’ll often find me in the kitchen, in the garden, or with my harp or guitar nearby.
We made the move to Tasmania from Margaret River in 2021, and purchased our land in 2025. This is still the beginning of our journey here, and there is much to build, plant, and dream into life.
At the moment, we are establishing gardens, orchards, chicken coops, shelter belts, and many other projects across the property. One of our greatest dreams is nearly here- our vineyard. Francois is a trained viticulturist and winemaker, and our vines are currently in the nursery, ready to be planted in 2027.
Our land is Certified Organic, and we live this wholeheartedly. Organic growing, clean food, and respect for the land are non-negotiables in our home.
We share our farm with sheep, chickens, rabbits, and two much-loved dogs, and soon to have cows!
As a family, we love gathering around good food, long conversations, music, fires, feasts, and meaningful friendships. We are social people, though equally happy spending quiet days at home, working hard with our hands and soaking in the beauty of this place we love.
We welcome grounded, kind, hardworking travellers who genuinely enjoy farm life, learning new things, and being part of family rhythm.
Accommodation is best suited to those travelling with their own van or caravan. We usually prefer stays of 1–2 weeks, though longer stays can be wonderful if we all connect and the fit feels natural.
If our little mountain homestead calls to you, we’d love to hear from you.
