My name is Wachara , living in Mfangano Island,Kenya. Its areal rural green peaceful and calm Island providing sensational interaction with nature.Apart from being surrounded by fresh water of Lake Victoria, geographic scene is real with clear sky for star view, sunrise and sunset view and its beautiful nature.
I do organic parmaculture farming in my farm at the lake shore where I do vegetable varieties and fruits and cereal production for local consumption. We regularly prepare and use , compost and green manure for crops since we are an organic dependent family. There is adequate opportunity to start aquaculture (fish caging) right in the lake and I call upon any intteasted person to link with me.
We also do afforestation in small scale, soil and water conservation .NOW WITH IDEA ON PLASTIC RECYCLING.

I established a first ever growing modern library in the region whose objective is to give residents (children and civilians) free access to information from books and e-study.This is a very interesting program to join as you know knowledge is power for our daily challenges.
For willing volunteers who really want to join our mission, I would like to inform you that if you are at a position to acquire reading materials (books and magazines published in English to bring us to your capacity of carriage), laptops, iPad, tablets and stationary to bring to our library as these are directly used for studies in the library.

our services are non religious , racial , tribal and gender based discrimination so we serve all with equality and dignity. Our organization is working with needy children and widows in the community to towards bringing a sense of humanity and dignity to them through education, mentoring and empowerment.Learning anew culture is educative experience.Unity is power.
Here are activities volunteers do here, farming in the garden, teaching languages, artwork, house chores.
We also look for someone who can build us website, videography and photography, help in organizing fundraisers and writing of grants for advancing our programs in the community.
