    Description

    Hello there!

We are a happy family of four living in the rural French countryside. Me and my husband we run a small and lively little restaurant here, which in the summer season is always very busy. Roeland is in charge of the kitchen and I am in charge of the service part. The Haute Marne is a lovely rural area where mass tourism hasn't really hit yet. The nature is beautiful and especially for those who love being outside hiking or cycling there is a lot to discover. The nearest towns are 10 minutes away. Bigger cities like Vesoul and Langres are 45 minutes away, so not too far for a day of shopping or going out.
As I said we are both always very busy with our business in the summer season. We have two beautiful daughters called Elodie (4 years old) and Juliette (who will be 17 months old in June), and as we are working a lot in the summer and two young children require quite a lot of attention, we are looking for some help. :)
The work would mostly be taking care of Elodie and Juliette when we are both working. As Juliette is still very young we would like to find somebody that has some experience in working with small children/babies. Also additional tasks would be to help out a little with some house work, like doing some laundry every now and then. We are both very flexible, and are happy to figure out a schedule that works for everybody. We are already very happy if the girls get the attention they need and somebody that will have time to read them a story before bed. :)

We are searching for somebody that can stay with us during the entire high season (July and August), preferably from the end of June until the end of August/beginning of September, but we have some flexibility regarding to dates. We do prefer somebody that speaks Dutch or French, as Elodie doesn't speak English, but feel free to apply even if you don't speak these languages.

Please get in touch if you have any questions. We also have a very big garden that always needs some work, so couples are welcome to stay as well, and the tasks can be split.

We hope to welcome you this summer!

    Milou

It of course depends on where you are from and which language you speak. Elodie speaks fluent French and you will find that there's a lot of French in and around our house, so you will definitely work on your French speaking skills. But if you are French you will find a nice cultural insight of our little Dutch family that tries to blend the two cultures in one :)

During the days we are both working we ask to take care of Elodie and Juliette. Play with them, cook for the girls and if we can't put them to bed ourselves, we ask you to do this. Apart from babysitting we ask for a little help around the house, like doing some laundry, dishes or gardening.
