The room we have is single, and we don't have enough work for two either.
Minimum stays of one month. Helping a new Workawayer adapt requires effort, so we need to build trust and a connection.

We are Marta, Aïna and Leonidas!
I am Marta and Aïna and Leo are my daughters. Leonidas is the older sister, she is a dog and she is twelve years old. Aïna is the little sister, she is almost six years old.
We live in a flat in the centre of Santa Cruz, in Tenerife. It is a quiet town on a beautiful island.
Tenerife is like a miniature continent, full of microclimates and different landscapes very close to each other. Mountain, beach, forest, city... All very close by car!
Our house is close to the tram and about 15 minutes from the bus station.
Aïna and Leo love to spend time outdoors, so we need someone who enjoys strolling through the parks and swings.
We really like music, art and sharing meals and stories.
We are in favor of natural parenting and free learning, we love to generate home.

Somos Marta, Aïna y Leónidas!
Yo soy Marta y Aïna y Leo son mis hijas. Leónidas es la hermana mayor, es una perra y tiene doce años. Aïna es la hermana pequeña, tiene casi seis años.
Vivimos en un piso en el centro de Santa Cruz, en Tenerife. Es una ciudad tranquila en una isla preciosa.
Tenerife es como un continente en miniatura, lleno de microclimas y de diferentes paisajes muy cerca entre sí. Montaña, playa, bosque, ciudad... Todo muy cerca en coche!
Nuestra casa está cerca del tranvía y a unos 15 minutos de la estación de autobuses.
A Aïna y a Leo les encanta pasar tiempo al aire libre, por lo que necesitamos alguien que disfrute paseando por los parques y en los columpios.
Nos gusta mucho la música, el arte y compartir comidas e historias.
Somos partidarias de la crianza natural y el aprendizaje libre, nos encanta generar hogar.

We will be happy to show you our city and take you to delicious "guachinches" (typical Canarian restaurants) and "areperas" and hidden beaches of black sand.
If you like hiking we can suggest some routes through the laurel forests.
We do not have a car, but if you know how to drive we would not mind sharing the rent.
From Tenerife it is very easy to travel to the rest of the islands: Gran Canaria, La Gomera and La Palma are only an hour away by ferry.

Estaremos encantadas de mostrarte nuestra ciudad y de llevarte a deliciosos "guachinches" (restaurantes típicos canarios) y "areperas" y playas escondidas de arena negra.
Si te gusta el senderismo podemos sugerir algunas rutas a través de los bosques de laurisilva.
Nosotras no tenemos coche, pero si sabes conducir no nos importaría compartir el alquiler.
Desde Tenerife es muy fácil viajar al resto de las islas: Gran Canaria, La gomera y la palma están solo a una hora en ferry.

Being alone with my two daughters, I need help at home so I can have some time to work on the computer: I'm a writer!
From Monday to Friday, we ask for four hours of work per day. We usually split this into three hours in the morning. The Workawayer would need to take Aïna to school (it’s very close to home) and take Leo to the park (we have great weather almost all the time), and then do some basic household tasks (washing dishes and cleaning the kitchen, doing laundry, tidying up a bit, and vacuuming).
Sometimes we may need a bit of help later in the afternoon to spend time playing with Aïna while I prepare dinner and to help wind down the day.
However, we’re very flexible and open to finding the best arrangement for everyone.
Weekends are completely free for the Workawayer, and we’d be happy to suggest excursions around the island or even to other islands—and maybe even join you!
During the first week, we’ll do all the outings together—we’ll be your tour guides! 😉
Al estar sola con mis dos hijas, necesito ayuda en casa para poder tener algo de tiempo para trabajar en el ordenador: ¡Soy escritora!
De lunes a viernes pedimos cuatro horas de trabajo al día.
Normalmente las distribuimos haciendo tres horas por la mañana. El workaway tiene que llevar a Aïna al colegio (está muy cerca de casa) y sacar a Leo al parque (tenemos muy buena temperatura casi siempre), para después realizar tareas del hogar básicas (lavar los platos y limpiar la cocina, poner lavadoras, recoger un poco la casa y pasar la aspiradora).
A veces necesitamos algo de presencia a última hora de la tarde para pasar tiempo jugando con Aïna mientras yo preparo la cena y ayudar a cerrar el día.
Pero somos muy flexibles y estamos abiertas a encontrar el mejor sistema para todos.
Los fines de semana el worlkaway estará completamente libre y estaremos encantadas de sugerir posibles excursiones por la isla o por otras islas, incluso de compartirlas!
La primera semana haremos todos los paseos juntos, seremos tus guías turísticas! 😉

We live in a three bedroom apartment. We offer a single room with a large wardrobe.
We offer a private room with a large wardrobe. Food is included. I usually do the cooking, but we need people who are independent and able to cook for themselves, in case it’s sometimes difficult for me to always have meals ready.
Con respecto al alojamiento, vivimos en un piso de tres habitaciones. Ofrecemos una habitación individual con un amplio armario. La comida está incluida. Normalmente cocino yo, pero necesitamos personas autónomas capaces de cocinar por sí mismas, por si en algún momento es complicado para mí tener siempre comida preparada.

Santa Cruz is a very quiet city, it has a beach at twenty minutes by bus.
We have a tram that connects us with La Laguna, a university city and heritage through the colonial layout of its streets. There the atmosphere is more youthful and there is more variety of bars and better cultural offer.
Climbing Mount Teide, the highest peak in Spain, is also usually a great tourist attraction. It is possible to spend the night in the refuge and climb to the top to see sunrise over the Atlantic the next morning.
Santa Cruz es una ciudad muy tranquila, tiene playa pero está a veinte minutos en autobús.
Tenemos un tranvía que nos conecta con La laguna, ciudad universitaria y patrimonio por el trazado colonial de sus calles. Allí el ambiente es más juvenil y hay más variedad de bares y mejor oferta cultural.
Subir al Teide, el pico más alto de España, también suele ser un gran atractivo turístico. Es posible hacer noche en el refugio y subir hasta lo más alto para ver amanecer sobre el Atlántico a la mañana siguiente.
