Hello. salaam
there sweet people!
My name is Redouane . I come from a nomad family, we spent all our life in the desert, moving from place to place until we stopped at the gate of the desert, Erfoud.
I would like to share all of my knowledge about life on this harsh and alluring land with all people who are curious to learn about it.
We cook traditional moroccan Berber food and all eat together 3 times a day
olso hiking in beatiful mountains around the village
sand dunes only 5 minutes walking from the hostel
If you decide to come and volunteer at my place, I will make your journey a haunting experience filled with magic.
I am building a guest house with my family with the intention to create an ajoining for visitors to enjoy this way of life with us.
We work max 3 hours a day, max 5 days a week, usually after breakfast,

Volunteers will experience Southeast Moroccan culture especially at the Suq of Erfoud (Local Market) every saturday.
Also you can find here many activities to do:
- visited the nomad families.
- Underground irrigation system khettara.
- hiking to descover the cave of el haj roun.
- Berber tattoo henna.
- Opportunity to learn Arabic clases
You will learn quickly the bases of arab language and you could teach me your language too !
It's a really good cultural exchange here because of all these reasons and because my familly and I are open minded and it would be a pleasure to teach you a lot of things from here.Projects involving children

The help could be all kinds of different tasks, varying day by day, like:
Building different rooms in the house.For the building we will use mud bricks made of sand, straw and water.
Gardening. We need to plant new palm trees and we want to grow organic vegetables and fruits
Also we need some people to help us with social media promotion and development

The workawayer can stay and sleep in traditional rooms mud bricks
living room for book lovers
There is running water and electricity and a good mobile internet connection. Cheap SIM cards (inwi) are available in almost every town, so consider getting one beforehand.
We have a traditional Moroccan berber life style bucket shower and toilet which you can use.
We provide blankets and mattresses to sleep well, a shower with hot water.
For food you have two options:
1) You take in charge your meal and in this case you'll have to buy your food and prepare it.
2) We offer 3 typicals maroccans meals ( breakfast, lunch and dinner ) for 5 euros per daysWhat else ...
We are a 15min drive away from the city of Erfoud
taxis are very cheap in Morocco. In total it will cost around 10 dirhams which is 1 Euros. from Erfoud city to the Eco village If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask us!
Transport: you can arrive easily in Erfoud. There is a bus company called (Supratour). There are buses from Marrakech or Fes or Ouarzazate to Erfoud the Sahara desert. berber life.
We usually organise trip to merzouga desert olso Visit the site of German architect Hannsjörg Voth, olso bouman dades and gorge todgha old kasbah Ait ben hadou every weekend
There are a lot of hikes and trails to roam around. There are a lot of famous places like, Sand dunes at only a 5 minute walk away from the hostel. The white mountains and the cave of el haj haroun are very nice to see the sunset , you can also meditate on the hills, where you will have amazing views to our village and the scenery around.
We enjoy a relaxed lifestyle, love cooking and sharing Good ideas, playing card games , playing berber music.
we will go together to the popular market in Erfoud
