Description
We are a warm Italo-Brazilian family based in Pipa, Brazil. Ari is from Italy and works remotely, Marcus is Brazilian and manages our small pousada (guesthouse/hostel) by the beach. We met in Pipa a few years ago and decided to stay and create our life here. Now we are a happy little family with our one-year-old baby, who is the heart of our home. Our project is very simple: to balance family life, work, and the joy of meeting people from all over the world who come to stay in our pousada. We believe in cultural exchange, openness, and creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels at home.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
With us you can experience both Italian and Brazilian culture on a daily basis. At home we speak both Italian and Portuguese, so you’ll have the chance to practice and learn languages naturally. You will also experience life in a small Brazilian beach town, enjoy its relaxed rhythm, and meet many people from different countries who pass through our pousada. We love exchanging traditions, recipes, and ways of living, and we are always curious to learn about yours.
Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
We are mainly looking for help with childcare and some light household support, we would like an Italian or Portuguese speaker. Our baby is one year old, very sweet and curious, and we would love to have an extra helping hand to play with him, keep him entertained, and give us some time to focus on work. You will never be left fully alone with the baby for long periods — this is about support, not full responsibility.
In addition, we may sometimes ask for small tasks around the house, like tidying up or organising toys, preparing lunch or dinner, cleaning the house. The most important thing for us is finding someone who genuinely loves children, is patient, and wants to be part of a family environment.
We ask for a minimum stay of 1 month, so that the baby can create a bond with you and the experience can be meaningful for everyone.Languages spoken

Shared room in our hostel
Breakfast is included every day at the pousada, together with the guests. For the other meals, you can use the shared kitchen to prepare your own food. Sometimes we like to cook or eat together as a family, especially during weekends, and you’ll always be welcome to join us.What else ...
Pipa is a magical place with so much to enjoy in your free time. The village is famous for its beautiful beaches, cliffs, and dolphins that can often be seen swimming near the shore. You can spend your days off exploring Praia do Amor, Baía dos Golfinhos, or the ecological sanctuary. The town also has a vibrant nightlife, cozy cafés, and a mix of international and local restaurants.
Transport is easy — everything in Pipa is within walking distance, and there are regular vans and buses that connect to nearby towns and to Natal, the closest big city and airport (about 1h30 away).
Helpers who love nature, surfing, yoga, or just relaxing by the ocean will feel at home here. It’s a great place to meet other travelers and locals, enjoy Brazilian culture, and live a slower, more relaxed lifestyle close to the beach.A little more information
