We cannot live without food. Who knows what the future holds. It would be nice to know how to grow your own food and rear your own livestock. Please let us teach you and share our experience with you.
We have a small family farm in the South East of Ireland. We would like to teach you how to care for and milk cows, rear calves, manage a grass based livestock system, grow our own fruit and vegetables. Amongst the many things you will learn is how to operate and maintain machinery. Construction is another skill you will learn which will involve welding steel and constructing in concrete.
Our aim here on the farm is to enrich your life by giving you knowledge, experience and hopefully fond memories.
Workawayers will learn what it is like to live and share in the daily on a family run dairy farm in Ireland. They will experience the trials experienced by farmers everyday and see how we handle these problems.
We have 2 pubs only 500 metres from the farm. An evening spent in an Irish pub is an evening to remember ;).
On the farm we like to share in stories about our history and heritage. In Wexford town we are lucky enough to have the National Heritage Park. This is truly a great source of information .
If you wish to travel to other parts of Ireland on the weekend we can bring you to the bus in our local town Gorey.
