Namaste! My name is Dipak and I warmly welcome you to my small farm stay in Dhulabari, Jhapa, in eastern Nepal.I am 21 years old, and I am currently studying German language (B1 Level) also teaching part time maths.
My home is located in a peaceful village area surrounded by tea gardens and nature, offering a simple, calm, and authentic Nepali experience away from busy tourist places. I enjoy meeting people from different cultures, sharing ideas, and learning from each other.

I live with my family—we are 5 members:
My father (72) and mother (58)
My two sisters(17 & 19)
And me (21) also we have one cow called Lali (5).
We are a friendly and welcoming family, and we like to treat our guests as part of our home. You will experience real Nepali family life here 😊

We run a small farm where we grow seasonal vegetables and live a simple village lifestyle. Life here is close to nature—fresh air, local food, and peaceful surroundings.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Our village is rich in differents culture (rajbanshi,tharu,dhimal,rai, limbu...).
The village have also a Hindu temple and some Hindus monks.
We provide an access to internet, you can find near the village all the facilities ( pharmacy, food store...).
The village is located 30min walking from dhulabari, from there you can take the bus to India border or to the main cities of terai(Dharan, Biratmod, Chitwan...).
The farm is really near the jungle where elephants live and come sometimes really close to the village.
We also offer a short 2-day trekking experience for interested volunteers to Salakpur (Ilam area).
This trek includes:
• Beautiful hills and forest walks
• Local village experience
• Peaceful nature and great views
• It’s a great way to explore eastern Nepal beyond typical tourist routes 🌄

Help
We welcome kind and open-minded volunteers who are happy to help with daily life on our farm. Tasks may include:
• Gardening and basic farm work
• Cutting grass and खेत (field) work
• Helping with cow care (feeding, cleaning, basic maintenance)
• Household tasks (cleaning, cooking help, organizing)
• Sharing skills (social media, photography, language, etc.)
No special experience is required—just a positive attitude and willingness to learn. We usually work together for a 3-4 hours a day and also have time to relax and explore 😊

Accommodation
Generally In our home we have one room for volunteers in this room we are able to hosts up to 2 peoples. We provide 3 meals per day.
Our food is sourced almost entirely from local ingredients and we can easily accommodate vegetarian diets. Please note that the served food is basic (we generally have Dal Bhat for breakfast and dinner, and lunch can vary depending on the kitchen menu), however you are able to stock up on extra items from dhulabari shop. Next to our house, you can also find several shops where you can buy snacks, drinks and other items .
