    Description

Hi volunteers! I'm Zara and I'm very passionate about teaching. I love kids and I'm a mother of five . 10 years ago I opened a linguistic school in Karakol, Issyk kul region, to help local kids improve and practice their English. So many volunteers visited our school, so many students graduated our school, I really proud of,
At the moment I am in Razzakov, Batken region, it’s South part of Kyrgyzstan, and working here as a teacher in a public school. I need a second hand here as we lack fluent English teachers and our local teachers here aren't the best. I need volunteers that can speak fluent English to practice with students. Classes at r school are divided based on students' English language proficiency.

Our school is located right in the center of Razzakov town, a small town in the south of Kyrgyzstan. Razzakov like the rest of the country is beautiful.
Kyrgyzstan is a country of mountains, freedom, and deep human warmth.

Culture. Nomadic traditions are still very much alive here: yurts, horses, the epic Manas, respect for elders, and a strong connection to nature. Festivals, horse games, and traditional music are not performed for tourists — they are simply part of everyday life.

People. The greatest treasure of Kyrgyzstan is its people. They are incredibly hospitable, sincere, and open-hearted. You may be invited in for tea, generously fed, and treated almost like a family member. Simplicity, respect, and genuine conversation matter here.

Why travellers and volunteers fall in love with it.?
Travelers and volunteers are drawn to Kyrgyzstan because it feels real. It’s easy to feel welcome and useful, to see life without filters, to make true connections, and to find meaning in simple moments. Add breathtaking mountains, silence, star-filled skies, and a strong sense of inner freedom — and the experience stays with you long after you leave.

Kyrgyzstan doesn’t try to impress — and that’s exactly why people fall in love with it.

Here you will feel like at home. You will experience authentic Kyrgyz culture and see real everyday life — how people live in Kyrgyzstan, what they do, and how they

You can get a bus from Bishkek to Razzakov which would take about 10hours. Or, by plane which would take 40 minutes.

If you are passionate in teaching and would love to know more about Kyrgyzstan, volunteering with us is the best. Our students will be really happy to have you around!

Feel free to write to me if you have questions or would like to know more about my school. I’d be happy to share more and answer any questions you may have. Thanks and looking forward to hear from you!

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Kyrgyzstan is interesting - not just by its nature but also by its culture. The Kyrgyz are rooted as nomadic and up to this day have all attributes of the nomadic life. Kyrgyz people are very hospitable, kind, and easygoing. Staying with a local family allows you to be in touch with our culture and live like a local. All my students are very eager in meeting foreigners and they would be glad to host you.

    • Social activities: Workawayers can take part in family gatherings, shared meals, local celebrations, and everyday community life. This includes spending time with local families, joining children’s activities, helping at school, and participating in cultural events, traditional games, and village life.

• Skills and knowledge we can share: We share authentic Kyrgyz culture, traditions, daily life in a rural community, hospitality, local customs, and basic knowledge of the Kyrgyz language. Workawayers will also learn about nomadic heritage, local cuisine, and the education system in Kyrgyzstan.

• What we hope to learn: By hosting people from different cultures, we hope to exchange experiences, improve our English, broaden our worldview, and give our children confidence in communicating with people from around the world. We value cultural exchange, mutual understanding, and building meaningful human connections.

We need volunteers that are passionate and eager to teach and practice English with our students. Must encourage our students to talk in English and come up with activities that would improve our student's English language proficiency. You don't have to be an experienced teacher. As long as you are fluent in English and open to teaching, we would love to have you here! We also need creative people who could make our school more fun and colourful.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

Accommodation may vary but one thing's for sure - we will provide you with a Kyrgyz host family. Karakol is a small town and some families might not have good conditions like a proper bathroom or shower but this shouldn't be a problem, right? You will be staying with one of our student's family. Kyrgyz people are very hospitable and loving and they would be happy to welcome you to their family.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

    • Time off & getting around: In their free time, Workawayers can explore the surrounding nature, enjoy walks in the mountains and countryside, visit nearby villages, lakes, and local markets, or simply relax and spend time with the community. We can help arrange local transport, share bus or taxi options, and give advice on traveling around the area. Life here is simple and peaceful, and moving around is usually easy with local support.

• Lifestyle & house rules: We live a simple, family-oriented life and value respect, cleanliness, and kindness. We ask guests to respect local traditions, be polite with elders, help keep shared spaces tidy, and communicate openly. There are no strict rules — just mutual respect, understanding, and a willingness to be part of everyday family and community life.
