I’m Valentina and I’m 38 years. I’m a researcher working at University of Parma and I live in the countryside of Fidenza a town 24 km far from Parma. My husband is Juan Pablo, a 39 years old architect, and we have 3 children.
Juan Cruz is a 8 years old male who is finishing the third year of primary school, he plays basket and he is a really creative boy: he is called “the scientistit” by his classmates, he loves to play outdoors, discover things and give shape to his inventions with building tools. He is a fan of Star wars saga!
Sveva is a 5 years old female which will begin in September to attend primary school. She is my little woman, she is really independent and she always tries to achieve its goals alone. She is a roller skater, nothing stops her to reach want she wants!
And finally there is Zoe, the little girl of the family (but do not call her “the little” because she will answer “I am 4 years old, I am not little ;))! She is really sensible but at the same time she is able to be respected by her brother and sister.
Even the cat Ron lives with us and one year ago the seventh member has joined the family: our dog Blanca, a 30 kg puppy!
As you can see we are a very big and active family!!! We love the peace of nature, animals and the simple pleasures of life and for this reason we built our house in the countryside just a few km from the town of Fidenza.
Fidenza is a quiet town counting 25.000 inhabitants with ancient origins still visible dating back to Romanesque. It is located in the Emilia Romagna region (North of Italy): it is in the center of the Food Valley and along the Francigena way ().
Babysitting / child care
You could learn a bit of Italian or Spanish talking with us. You’ll live the cultural aspects of Italian and Argentine too.
If you are a lover of good food in every little place you can find typical hand made Italian food, also street food: in 2016 Parma was designed by Unesco as “City of gastronomy”. If you love history and art you can find expression of it in every corner. If you love nature you can see it in every side. If you love all that you are in the right place!
You will spend 4/5 hours a day (the morning or the afternoon, weekend free!) with the children, playing, reading, colouring, biking or walking through the countryside, playing sports and singing! You will not be bored with us! And you will be able to visit northern Italy in your free time. We would like you feel part of our family: so you will be more than a baby-sitter!
We can host one or two English native speaker girls from 10/06 till 10/08 for the summer period. Then, also from the end of September we will be able to host again during the autumn and winter period.
