    Description

    Our farm is a foster farm & llama refuge located in the hill country of South Central Texas. The hill country of Texas has four seasons with different activities possible during each season. We have llamas, goats, poultry, cats, dogs on 15 acres. Most activities are outdoor maintenance of facilities and llama training and care. Normal stays are 1 to 3 weeks with weekly renewal. NO illegal activities, no smoking. Vehicle required. Not suitable for children under 15 yrs old. ** You must be COVID vaccinated to come here. ** ** Update: Housing will be house/dog sitter near to refuge from August thru Sept 16th ** Volunteers work approximately 15 to 20 hours per week with flexible hours to allow time to visit local attractions such as hiking trails, rivers, and local and state parks.

    The non-profit llama rescue needs help with the compassionate care of animals or the repair or construction of out-buildings or maintenance of facilities and pastures. Need to be able to lift a hay bale which is approximately 50 lbs.

    Car needed to explore local area. Unique towns of Fredericksburg and Luckenbach are nearby with wineries, music, swimming in the rivers, and hiking in the state parks. Kerrville has many attractions including city parks along the Guadalupe river. 1 hour from San Antonio with many attractions.
