  Description

  We are ex-backpackers, now in our 60s. We are keen dancers and skiers. We have 2 spoodle dogs whom we walk on the beach across the road every day. David is a teacher and I am a property manager and Justice of the Peace. We offer a lovely bedroom with a deck overlooking the lighthouse and beach, in a house with 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms, directly opposite Island Bay beach, and great food, in exchange for 3 hours per day helping with painting and cleaning.

  We have lived in Wellington for over 50 years, so we are great local guides to help you make the most of your time in our lovely city. David goes for an hour's run or walk every day, and is happy to take you with him to different places of beauty in the area.

  We are gradually restoring our old house, and could use help with paint preparation, painting and cleaning.

  Large single bedroom opening to a deck, and with view over the lighthouse and beach, in a house with 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms, directly opposite Island Bay beach. I cook most of the meals, but occasionally you will need to raid the fridge for yourself.

  What else ...

  Close to Island Bay bus, 15 minutes walk to Island Bay shops & cinema, close to City-to-Sea walkway, close to walkway to seal colony. We have had dolphins swimming in the sea in front of our house twice this week!
