Description
Hi, I’m Adil, 32 years old.
I live near the Bosphorus in Anadolu Hisarı, Istanbul. I work as a psychotherapist and have a lovely garden at home. Some of the plants need to be trimmed and cleaned. Nothing too hard, just light gardening work -actually mostly time we'r chilling around. Of course, this isn’t an ecological farm, we live in city life here and we don’t produce our own food. That’s why we share the weekly grocery shopping. I’d really enjoy having some company while doing it and sharing good time.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
I’m not a handyman, but I really enjoy learning from people who are and discovering new practical skills. I’m also open to new ideas for improving the garden.
Beyond the garden, I enjoy meaningful conversations and cultural exchange. I’d love to connect with Workawayers over tea or a walk by the Bosphorus, cooking local foods, sharing stories, and daily life in Istanbul. You’ll also have the chance to experience a quieter, more local side of the city but not far from the center.
Help
There are some weeds, ivy and bushes that need to be cut. And honestly, I’m open to new ideas for DIY as well.

Accommodation
You’ll have a warm private room inside the apartment. The room has a table, a sofa bed (120x200 cm), and a heater. The kitchen, bathroom, and living room are shared spaces. There’s also a cozy outdoor area in the garden where we often spend time relaxing or chatting. If you prefer, there’s enough space in the garden to set up a tent as well.

What else ...
I share the house with my two lovely cats.
I kindly ask Workawayers to be very mindful about cleanliness, especially in the bathroom — please make sure to use the toilet while seated. It's better for your prostate :)
You can easily reach the historical and central parts of Istanbul by ferry from the Bosphorus, without getting stuck in the city’s busy traffic.
Kadıköy and Taksim — the main entertainment and nightlife areas — are also not far away; you can get there quickly by taxi.
By public transport, Kadıköy is about 30–45 minutes away, or just 15–20 minutes if you have a car.
In the northern part of the city, there are many beautiful natural and historical places worth exploring.

Limited internet access

Can host digital nomads
The internet isn’t super fast — around 20-30 Mbps — and during heavy rain, the connection can occasionally drop for a short time. There’s only Wi-Fi access (no cable connection available). I also work online with my therapy clients most of the time, and it usually works fine without major issues.

Space for parking camper vans
There’s a small private parking space available for compact cars and for more larger ones. But for huge vehicles, it’s still easy to find parking nearby.
