We are a family with three little ones. We moved from England in 2017 looking for a home in the beautiful Dordogne / Correze area. We bought a house and land that need quite a bit of work. And we have big plans!

You will benefit from the incredible countryside that surrounds us. Also lots of cat and dog cuddles!
You can also find out about walnut harvesting. And if you want to stay a little after our return, we are currently in the process of erecting a timber framed building which could be of interest!

We are really looking for a reliable and kind someone / someones to come and look after this lovely place complete with an adorable dog and kitty while we are away for ten days.

We also have a gite that could be rented during this time, so you would need to be available for them if necessary (although we have found most people just like to be left to enjoy the natural peace without any help)

There really isn't much that you'd need to do while you we here other than feed the critters and walk the lovely Duggy (a young and friendly Lagotto Romagnolo) in the beautiful surrounding countryside. However, it will also be walnut harvesting time, so collecting some walnuts in the autumn sun could also be on the cards.

If you do not have a car, it is a 20 minute walk to the village of St Robert where you can find a shop to cover most of your basic needs and we can stock up the fridge before we leave! But you would really need to be a person that enjoys a peaceful, rural setting to enjoy your stay here.

    Accommodation

You would be able to stay in our family home during this time and have it to yourselves. It is partway through being renovated, so isn't fancy, but it is comfortable enough and has all the essentials.
The heating and water is run from a wood burning stove, so you will need to light a fire or two!
