Antalya is the cradle of our animal welfare society. Some of the current members have supported the animal protection there on private level already over years and found themselves so together. To the project Antalya belongs the animal shelter in which the engaged animal welfare activist Rosi already cares for emergency animals for many years. Horses, donkeys, dogs and cats are cared for, in addition, there were already from the nest fallen birds or chicks to supply. A lot of time is also invested in advising the people who live there. It is also very important to us to make castrations financially possible and to take over the care of animals that have been injured in accidents.
Our shelter is located in Aksu. This is a small suburb northeast of Antalya. The railing of the shelter covers approx. 10,000 m2. There we accommodate meanwhile over 200 dogs, cats, horses & donkeys. For us, sustainable animal protection means to improve the quality of life of the animals in the long run, therefore the help does not end on the courtyard. We create feeding places for street animals and take over the treatment of diseased street animals.
Of course, we always strive to advance and expand the sanctuary. Every help is needed! We are pleased about everyone, who helps in the shelter - no matter whether it concerns the feeding and care of the animals, the maintenance of the huts, the cleaning or the general advancement of the sanctuary.
Please consider that we need a person to take care of the animals and who is able to build and rebuild (cages, fences, things in and around the houses and so on).

The host of the shelter is a german-turkey-woman. Volunteers can learn a lot about her experience with animal protection and welfare in the last 20-30 years. Dogs, cats, horses and donkeys live on the shelter. As the accommodation of the volunteers is directly on the property, the volunteers are capable to be a part of the shelter - right from the start on. They will learn a lot about the animals behavior and see, how to feed and to take care of them.
(In general: Cleaning kennels, stables, taking care of animals, giving medication when necessary, feeding them. Right now: build and rebuild things in and around the shelter/the houses like fences, cages and so on).
