Description
“Quick note!
Only Camping on the site, under roof- available June17-July1st. “
A Creative Sanctuary in Nature!
Celebrating our first year in 2023, our project is nestled in the village of Maghrani, in the Dusheti region, featuring a unique open-air stage set in the heart of the forest.
Our project is led by a professional ballet dancer and an eco-builder—a couple dedicated to creating a vibrant, creative community around them.
We began by building the forest stage while simultaneously working on the house, which is now nearing completion—with your help, we’ll finish it soon! We do need extra help for wrapping it up.
Exciting new project of building Artists Residency and its cultural events are also on the go!
Artists Residency Building Project is implemented within the framework of the "Creative Connections" grant
component of the "Creative Compass" project, which supports the creation of new opportunities, knowledge exchange and deepening of cooperative connections in the creative sector of the regions of Georgia.
Creative Compass project is funded by EU and co-funded and implemented by the Goethe- Georgien.
This including the construction of an open-air stage, aka “Stage House”, an art residency-guest house, complete with a dressing room and a living , co-working area for artists and guests underneath the stage, In front of the Caucasus sky line.
We’re thrilled about what’s ahead and have bigger and brighter plans with all of it.
Our space is dedicated to nurturing emerging artists—dancers, performers, choreographers, musicians, composers, and interdisciplinary creators—providing a supportive environment for individual artistic exploration. We aim to cultivate a new generation of versatile (“360°”) artists through contemporary music, cross-disciplinary collaborations, exhibitions, and community-building initiatives, while involving and helping local community to get closer to these vital cultural processes.
2023 marked the beginning of our in-person activities, and we’re excited to continue growing with you. We have hosted around 20 Workaway guests already, that had an amazing time and contributed the best energy and work to us. Forever grateful!
For now we live in our temporary village house inside of the village Maghrani, few minutes below our venue , where you will have a big room, which is divided in two parts and has enough capacity for guesting.
Other activities include:
• Collaborative sessions led by guest artists
• Dance workshops
• Lectures and discussions
• Performance screenings
• Literature gatherings
• Camping and nature-based experiences
* We have already shot “Project 12” - an independent dance film in 2024, Screaning and Premiering on June 27th, 2025. Performances on June 30th, 2025. Cultural events throughout June 2025.
We look forward to welcoming you in the forest, share what is around and with us and set the best memories in life.
