Description
Come live and work in a stunning, tranquil location in West Cork, where you'll be part of a rewarding sustainable off-grid project. We're transforming 2 acres of land into a thriving, chemical-free kitchen garden, and we’d love for you to be part of the journey!
This is a perfect opportunity to live sustainably, learn new skills, and immerse yourself in a peaceful, nature-filled environment. In exchange for your help, you'll get free accommodation in this beautiful part of Ireland — and plenty of time to explore the area too!
West Cork is known for its breathtaking landscapes, with beautiful remote peninsulas like Beara, Sheep's Head, and Mizen Head, as well as pristine beaches like Inchydoney, Owenahincha, and Barleycove. The nearby towns and villages, including Skibbereen, Clonakilty, Kinsale, and Rosscarbery, are full of charm and adventure — you’ll never run out of places to explore.
Your hosts are Jack (36) and Theo, a 4-month-old Collie pup. Jack brings years of experience from running his own restaurants in London, the UK, and Ireland, and now he’s creating a homestead that celebrates the beauty of both animals and plants.
On the farm, we have goats, pigs, chickens, ducks, and quail. During your stay, you’ll have the chance to tend to the animals, make cheese and butter, and help with exciting projects like building polytunnels and vegetable beds. We’re also starting new ventures with micro herbs and mushrooms, and we'd love to have your help!
Come join us and experience the true essence of rural life, learning hands-on and making a real impact on our homestead’s growth.Types of help and learning opportunities

He is very clean, tidy, respectful and loves his food, wont be much leftovers with him around.
The work required for the start of my homestead might have been too much however we both communicated well and found tasks more suitable. And these he excelled in.
