Description
Our project is housed in an old house in one of the most beautiful villages in the south Italy, charming, unspoilt and semi-inhabited.
The renovation of the house and the old workshops is in progress, and we want to do this with people who come to visit us to let them know what life was in the past. We want to relive the house as in childhood memories, with friends who help us and with whom we can share work, food, laughter and trekking.
The work consists of painting walls, moving furniture, varnishing furniture, making small pieces of furniture, creating pictures, taking photos to hang, planting and tending the terrace plants, and cleaning out a storeroom.
Our project is so called because our aunt Matilde lived there. She was a businesswoman always ready to welcome young people into her workshop.
Our family was a family of theatre artists and wood sculptors. We want to reopen the workshops and make the unspoilt nature of the area known through our eyes, memories and local customs, including food and walks and experiences from the past such as making pasta, washing laundry by the river, visiting old wine cellars and much more depending on the season
The ultimate goal is to create an exhibition space attached to the house and to host artists for a creative passage through the village.Types of help and learning opportunities

We want to share art, music, food, discovery of the territory and traditions. We want to bring to life this unknown part of the world where the customs of the past seem to have never existed. We want everyone to share something of their personality and exchange their culture with us.
