    Description

Kia ora my name is Dido I live on the beautiful Ohiwa Harbour with my mischievous dog Dixie.
I Work full time with a 9 year old autistic girl, in my spare time I'm trying to restore and maintain my small native bush garden. My partner Grant has an Avocado farm so between us we are often in need of help.
Common sense and practical skills would be helpful. Mostly I need hands on, to remove jasmine which is an invasive weed here and can be very destructive to native bush. It is a magical spot to spend time about 20 mins from Opotiki and 30 mins from Whakatane.
The garden is on the waters edge there are canoes and paddle boards to use. I love hanging out at my home it has wonderful birdlife and views. I spend my spare time tramping in some of the beautiful local bush and river walks nearby. I am semi vegetarian and like cooking healthy food. I dabble in pottery and have a friends horse I am working with following the natural horsemanship therapy. My partner has an avocado orchard the other side of Opotiki and he sometimes needs a hand. Workaways with their own transport would be most suited to a stay here.
