Travellers would get a taste of life in rural South Africa, learn our customs and language (Afrikaans), learn about permaculture techniques, and learn about farming.

    Help

We are looking for help to develop our permaculture farm in the Western Cape Province of South Africa.

The project is still in its early stages and there is a lot of work to be done including developing our food forest, developing vegetable gardens, planting hops fields, doing earthworks, installing polyculture orchard, and restoring natural habitat in our local river (to name a few).

The help is mostly farming and/or gardening related but could include building and maintenance work.

The area is known for paragliding in summer and there are some hikes and natural sites in the area. However, public transport is a problem so a driver's licence would be advantageous. We would be able to provide transport from time to time, but as we have a small child we are at home most of the time. Travelers would have to get to us by themselves (the closest airport is 140km away).
