We welcome workawayers into our family, enjoying the friendship and cultural exchange that comes from having travellers stay in our home. We make an effort to introduce our visitors to the beautiful countryside and historic gold rush town where we live. Castlemaine is home to a vibrant community with a rich arts and music scene, friendly cafes serving good coffee and a diverse range of people striving and innovating for a more sustainable future.
Our house is a short walk or ride from the centre of Castlemaine in one direction and national park in the other. Melbourne is a pleasant one and a half hour train trip from Castlemaine station.
We are small, happy family with two kids (aged 7 and 9). We love sharing good food, good company and ideas. We want our home to reflect our values. We work towards reducing our environmental footprint by growing some of our own food and making our house more sustainable. We work and study in the fields of ecology and economics.
