Description
Hello good people,
My name is Angela and I'm 60 years old. I live in a small village in Lower Saxony in an old house with my boyfriend and our three horses. The next "bigger" city Wolfenbüttel is 40min by bike or you can take the bus. I work 25 hours per week and can also give you a ride!
We love to make music togther and to be outside. Sometimes my children come to visit us and help around the house or spend time with the horses. You are welcome to join. We are a queerfriendly, open minded family!
This is an open house, with people coming and going.
We have two almost done volunteer's rooms in the main house. As you can see in the pictures everything is still in the making :)
What we are looking for :
- any laguage is welcome here, we speak english and german
- enjoy being around people
- curious and considerate
- self-reliant
I'd like to get to know you and your story.
Please feel free to contact me for more information :)

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
You have the possibility to go hiking in the Harz, visit the beautiful city Wolfenbüttel (and Braunschweig), take the bike and explore the villages nearby. The former border to East Germany is just 'round the corner', and is now part of the "Grünes Band Deutschland". There are a couple of places of archeological interest, like Schöningen with the famous 300.000 years old spears. Halberstadt is well known for its remarkable Domschatz, also for its 'Cage-chapel', where his organ-peace 'as slow as possible' is being played since 2001 (and for the next 600 years...). Berlin can be reached within 2 hours by ICE.

Help
There is always something to do:
- Take care of the horses (e.g. feeding)
- beautify old timber-framed houses with traditional material and techniques (brick / loam)
- Gardening, I love to share my knowledge about plants, animals and soil
- get creative and build things outdoor (e.g. a wooden fence)
Naturally you don't have to do any tasks that involve high risks like working with a chainsaw. We are happy to adjust the projects according to your liking.
