Description
Hello! My name is Maisa. I live in a wonderful place by the beach in Chiloé, a 2.5-hectare land rich in biodiversity. This wetland is home to a variety of birds, some of which migrate from Alaska, Patagonia, and other parts of the world.
I am developing a glamping site and working on landscaping projects to enhance the experience for visitors. I am passionate about protecting the wetland and its biodiversity, and I am also deeply interested in meditation. I am currently creating a mindfulness retreat close to nature that offers tranquility and inner exploration for those looking to reconnect with themselves and the environment. Volunteers will stay in a tent with two comfortable mattresses, suitable for accommodating up to two people, set up under a roofed terrace for protection and comfort.
I am looking for help with construction and landscape infrastructure, as well as general gardening tasks to keep the area maintained. Currently, I have two elder cats that enjoy interacting with visitors.
Diego, my 21-year-old nephew, lives with me. He is a professional cook and a very laid-back guy who is very interested in meeting new people and learning about new cultures. Diego plays an active role in the project, bringing his culinary skills to create delicious meals for visitors and volunteers, enhancing their experience with local flavors and healthy food options. He is also passionate about sustainability and enjoys sharing his knowledge of local cuisine and eco-friendly cooking practices.Types of help and learning opportunities

Volunteers will have the chance to stay in one of the most beautiful areas near Castro, Chiloé, and observe migratory birds up close. You can immerse yourself in the local culture and use your spare time to explore the island's many attractions.

Diego is really keen on learning history and languages.Accommodation
I have a small house on a large property. Volunteers will be accommodated in a tent with two comfortable mattresses under a roofed terrace.
What else ...
Public transport is available 1.3 km from my place, but I can provide a lift most of the time to the closest towns: Castro, Dalcahue, or the bus stop.
During your free time, you can explore the island, go hiking, visit the national park in Cucao, and explore other towns. In the summer, you can attend numerous traditional festivals across the islands. I can also connect you with local tour operators to help you book activities.
I speak fluent English, and you will also have the opportunity to practice your Spanish!A little more information
